Love our fabulous pivot and slide patio doors - really opens up the access to the back garden and brilliant that the track is flush to the floor allowing level access in and out of the house onto our decking. They all stack very neatly to one side, or we can choose to have just one or two sections open. The grandchildren love being able to trundle their ride-ons in and out of the house! We were so impressed with the product that our son and daughter-in-law had a set installed too.
Absolutely useless. Steer clear of this company. Promised me before Christmas install of frameless doors to my conservatory. January they got installed. They don’t fit properly. Engineer came back nothing he could do but put extra sealing strip down don’t look great. There are holes in the frame where end caps should fit, excuse this time was we don’t supply them anymore. Ruins the whole look of what should be great looking doors. Not weather tight so don’t think these are external doors, luck I had them fitted for internal kitchen to conservatory. No guarantee paperwork or receipt for the 2.6k I paid them. So not holding my breath that if anything major goes wrong I’ve got any comeback. Only plus is Marc the sales consultant is trying on my behalf to get the factory to talk to me but with no luck. Plus you have to pay the whole balance up front so you defo have no comeback.Moreexpand_more
Over 1 year now that we had the Ultraslim doors fitted in our new extension. And we still love them just as much as the day they were installed. For us aftercare service has been great (but only needed in first couple of months after installation as our extension + doors bedded down - small adjustments needed). This is the first summer we can really enjoy them - they look great and have a very simple and elegant opening mechanism. Thanks to Tony, Paul and rest of Sunseeker team. Highly recommended.
I obtained a quote for 2 utraslim doors and liked the design very much. I went to visit the factory and was keen to place the order, but something bothered me about the claimed thermal performance. I was unclear on how they could achieve their claimed rating with the design of the top rail hole for the panel entry/exit. I asked the salesman for the test evidence for the thermal rating but they could not provide it. When I asked for a photo of the top rail so that I could understand how the thermal break worked, I was accused of trying to steal their design. I have corresponded with may companies regarding patio doors. The good ones post the thermal ratings and tests publicly. I was very disappointed with their attitude and would warn people to be very careful with this company.
We are amazed at our replacement doors. Having ditched the cheap-o plastic doors that the previous house owner had installed, we had been quite determined to go for better quality and wanted metal framed doors. There were some lovely sturdy bi-folds on offer from various companies but only Sunseeker doors offered us a choice of ultra slim metal frames. We were lucky enough to live near an installation they had done recently on a new build so we went to have a look and were very impressed. We accepted the quote and set a date for fitting. We’ve had the doors a few days now and we are thrilled. They look amazing and they are very easy to slide. Top marks!
Ell, it took a while but we eventually had our patio doors installed by SunseekerDoors and they look very nice. We chose a grey frame and also had internal blinds fitted in the double glazing. Pluses: they look great as the frames are narrow and hardly spoil the view, the blinds are brilliant, the fitting was quite quick and there was a reasonable amount of cleaning and tidying to do afterwards. Minuses: when the weather turned, the key almost didn’t and locking/unlocking required “strong application” also there is some plastic glass protection stuck near the frames that needs to be carefully removed. The office said they’d send someone to look.
As a business we had a very bad experience. They assured to deliver a bi-fold window system which "only" after two surveys we were told they couldn't do. On top of that, after having paid a deposit at the end of June 2014, we are still waiting for a refund (it's now mid September), which is anyway minus £400 at their discretion, notwithstanding the fact it was their fault for not delivering the goods as described! Avoid them at all cost!
We have south-facing bi-folding doors from www. SunseekerDoors. Co. Uk and we are very pleased with them. The glass always feels warm although the frames are cooler. We also had internal blinds in the glass to divert the sun when it gets too bright. They are really good. We waited several weeks for delivery because of the blinds but now they are finished we are really happy with them.
We chose a 4-door folding patio door from Sunseeker Doors. It looks very modern with its slim graphite frames and we love it. It is easy to slide open and closed and feels very substantial, unlike the plastic ones we tried in DIY stores. A word of warning about the ones in DIY stores, the prices do not include fitting. Sunseekers sent professionals to install our bifolding doors, all in the quoted price.
Having had bifold doors installed by Sunseekers a few years back I am still waiting for them to come and replace the rubber seals around the double glazed units for the third time as the originals shrank within a year then everytime they replaced them the new seals didn't fit properly. I have given up phoning them as all they do is promise the earth then deliver sod all. Avoid Sunseekers like the plague unless your happy with poor quality products and poor customer service.
I think the doors are very nice, good quality doors. However we have had a problem with not being able to lock them, and it took SEVEN weeks of repeated phone calls to get Sunseeker to come and visit and fix them. Despite them knowing 1) I couldn't lock the house and had to try and secure it by putting a padlock round 2 handles 2) I was about to put the house on the market and didn't want a padlock there for that! They came after weeks to fix the doors and within a week they weren't working again (and had only been opened a few times when I went to do some gardening and cleaning). Left them a message which "they didn't get". So now I back to square one trying to get them to fix the doors. They are so busy selling doors they don't seem to give two hoots about existing customers.
SunSeeker supplied and fitted bi folding doors with integral blinds to a south facing extension that was being built. We were pleased at the time but now, four years later, we realise just how good that decision was. The doors are as good as new and we couldn't have managed without the blinds, which are used daily.
