Our grandaughter rented a house from them. Before she did we had heard rumours they tried not to pay your bond back at the end. We questioned them about this and they convinced us it was not true. Now at the end of the lease they are only paying back part of the bond. They are claiming they can take an admin fee out of it which is completely illegal.
Response : Dear Mr Fradgley,I am sorry that you appear to be unhappy with our services but as you have left no details of your grand daughter, and we have had no direct complaints of this nature, then I am unable to be specific in my reply as I am unsure as what property / tenancy you are referring. If you would like to give me a call on 0113 8160131 I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. I feel that the comment in relation to our return of bonds is rather poorly chosen; all of our Deposits are processed and protected through The Dispute Service and Unipol Student homes.
A simple phone call to them will confirm that we have, to date, still never had an official complaint or dispute logged regarding our deposits. This is in spite of renting out in excess of 300 properties each year. I do feel that your statement to the contrary is not only incorrect but rather misleading.Any fees we charge are detailed, very visibly, at the time of signing. We do charge administration fees but these are made very clear to our tenants prior to any tenancy agreements being signed. As stated, if you would like to call the office with some further details I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.Yours sincerely,Richard NapierDirector.Moreexpand_more
