SWPP - Society of Wedding and Portrait Photog...Yorkshire Wedding Photographer - Founded by James in 2010, Sugarbird Photography has a wealth of experience in the wedding and portrait photography sector, creating beautiful images for clients throughout the UK. The company is based in Huddersfield however they love meeting new people and often travel throughout West Yorkshire, Lancashire and UK wide to photograph weddings.
Sugarbird Photography evolved out of a requirement to offer couples an alternative to vanilla, carbon-copy wedding and portrait photography. They simply burst with creativity and are dying to find out about the client's dress, the shoes, the venue, their new family and share their excitement and ideas.
"Wedding photography allows me to document and be a part of one amazing day in the life of two people. It allows me to work directly with the clients and experience their excitement. The different styles of photography range from classical, formal, reportage, creative, alternative to 'burn the dress'. "
As an award winning photographer James is also a full member of the SWPP - Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. This affiliation gives him the support and professional accreditation he wants and feels is required within the industry.

My friend and I wanted something special to help us remember our graduation day by, better than the 'run of the mill' pictures that everyone else was getting. James did not disappoint and both our families were delighted with the fantastic pictures he took. The whole process was stress-free and everyone from young children to Grandmas were put at ease by his friendly yet professional manner. We asked James to take some photos of our baby boy and some family pictures. Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera and our baby was crawling about everywhere but James was great. He put us all at ease and had a lovely manner which meant that after a while we almost forgot the camera was there! We love the photos which were taken as they are very natural and several people have complimented them. Given the time spent and the quality of the photos, Sugarbird is excellent value for money.
