I brought my 6 year old daughter in for her first time in a hair salon to have corn rows and Temi was very kind and careful with her… She got her hair done fast and was an amazing job ! We will be coming to see Temi again.

Having assessed several Afro and Caribbean hair salons reviews, I booked an appointment with StylesbyFola for Saturday 5 June 2021. My initial telephone enquiry with Fola was helpful and I felt confident in using her service as my usual hairstylist of 19 years was on holiday. I found the website page easy to access to make an appointment and received a booking confirmation, receipt, and an appointment reminder nearer the time. The charge of £95. 00 for a full weave and closure with the addition of an elastic band to secure the closure and hair cut was very reasonable. The weave install by Shantelle was efficient with good customer service. I did return a week later to loosen my elastic band install but it is a real testament of how good or bad a business is by its customer service when a customer returns with an issue and in this case, I was made to feel at ease with my requirements and received good customer service throughout. I will certainly use StylesbyFola Salon in future. (Photos enclosed).

Great friendly service! I recently made an appointment after reading great reviews online. Although a little sceptical - I mean how good could the salon really be - well I was in for a blessed surprise! I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by a lady preparing someone's hair. She immediately stopped and gave me her attention - come on how many times do we walk into a Black salon and are literally ignored for a period of time before any actual acknowledgement? The lady directed me to the salon chair and advised somebody would be with me shortly. Although this is a ridiculously tiny detail, it actually makes a huge difference in the future of your hair appointment! Good start, I thought. Within a few minutes I was being whisked away to the second of Fola's spaces which is another salon two doors away - admittedly I was happy to be able to see natural daylight. The young lady (please forgive me I have blindly forgotten her name) who was about to begin my styling, patiently enquired exactly what I wanted - no rushing, no coercion unlike other hair salons. I again felt I'd made a great choice. I had faux locs (part canerow/part loose) inserted and the whole procedure was over pretty quickly considering! Fola herself took over from the lovely young lady and completed the insertion of the locs. Plenty of chat in a very comfortable space. Summing up I was very happy that I made the 'leap of faith' (lets face it black women that's exactly what it is when we switch hairdressers!) and I have no doubt that I have found my hopefully 'forever' salon. I recently purchased boldhold liquid gold. I ordered this on Sunday evening it arrived by Tuesday afternoon. I was impressed with the prompt service. This was value for money and a quality product well done!

I had booked an appointment for next week Saturday and then the lockdown was announced. I called Fola who was super responsive (it would be my first appointment) and she was able to fit me in right away on Sunday which was so amazing. At the salon I had my hair done by Shantal who was so amazing, really friendly and listened to my needs. I was having braids done and I can’t have them too tight, and she listened and took on board my needs. We had a lovely chat throughout and the braids took less than 3 hours which was excellent! What was more amazing is how neat and well styled the braids were. I have had them done elsewhere for hours and the they weren’t neat etc. , but here the standard was really high and I am so pleased. The most amazing hair dresser you will ever find. She is extremely sweet and did the best job ever at sewing in a weave especially as I have straight thin european hair she made it look super natural and extremely beautiful everyone has been thinking its my hair and complementing it ? When I tell them its a weave they want me to prove it they dont believe me. She works very very delicately and without a mistake takes care to make every detail just perfect for the most beautiful hair I have ever ever had done by any hairdresser. ? You will definately never ever be dissapointed if you decide to get your hair done by Fola it was my first time and I will continue only going to her from now on I can realy trust her with my hair its absolutely stunning Xx The price is amazinf for how hard she works and what she creates its a realy blessing to have the talent she does. I had very short thin hair and wanted long thick hair and she made my dream come true. I highly reccomend her services x.
