Many people are unhappy with their property whether it be the colour, condition, shape, unevenness, dampness, straightness or the feel and atmosphere it gives them. I work hard to make the customer feel happy in their own home. To help achieve this I do the following;
Discuss with the customer what they ideally would like.
Help with the best and most cost effective way to achieve this.
Accurately quote on what we have agreed with the customer and do not change the price or try to add to it. (We understand that things change and people change their mind so any extras or changes requested by the customer are agreed in writing with an agreed price).
Agree when the work will commence and approximately how long it takes.
Ensure the house is kept tidy and as clean as possible during the work.
Removal of all rubbish and debris regularly.
How I Do It.
Walls – I aim to fill in every hole, crack or scratch with a straight finish in line with the existing wall so you don’t see them when painted.
Woodwork – Again I aim to fill woodwork in as much as possible and leave gloss paintwork with a soft, smooth, dust free, high shine finish.
Hand Painted - I do not use masking tape to draw straight lines.
Plastering and Skimming – Our plasterers have been plastering for over 15 years, day in and day out, this ensures our customers of a Straight Edge, spirit level, smooth finish.
Plaster Replace – We use plasterboard, lined up straight with a laser or spirit level to ensure your edges are straight, horizontal and vertical.

Plaster And Paint.
We specialise in stripping off wallpaper and loose plaster and skimming your walls and ceilings to a Straight Edge finish.
We then paint the walls with an emulsion primer and then two coats of emulsion paint.
Woodwork is all sanded down electrically or by hand in the difficult places and then undercoated and final coated with a high gloss oil based paint.

Decoration is not easy!
People often think ‘Oh I’ll just slap a coat of paint on’…
In reality it is a lot more complicated than that. It is a process of complex stages involving chemicals, reactions and time. We will explain to you in our visit or call the reason why Decoration should be done thoroughly and properly.
There are many different types of paint and many types of applicators such as soft brushes, edging brushes, finishing brushes, short, medium and long pile rollers, sponge rollers, paint sprayers and sponge applicators, which could confuse even the most intelligent person. I selected Daniel to redecorate my whole flat based on reviews I had read and my initial meeting with him. When he looked at the job he pointed out areas that needed attention and explained what he needed to do to put them right. He was helpful, meticulous and full of suggestions. His work is of the highest standard. After the work was completed he needed to do a few snagging jobs. He returned to complete these immediately and identified other areas which he thought needed extra attention. If you are not happy with anything he will put it right. I have never met such a helpful decorator, I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

The Best Decorator in Manchester I took on Straight Edges initially to just paint 2 rooms in my house. After seeing the care and attention Daniel took, not only with the prep work, but also other details such as filling in deep scratches on the woodwork, filling in old screw holes, sanding pretty much every surface until it was perfectly flat, the actual painting was top class workmanship. I have now ended up having Daniel redecorate the entire house from top to bottom. It now looks like a show house ! The price was also very reasonable considering the amount of work involved in repairing the damage done by my last decorator………he even took it upon himself to strip off the old silicone around the showers and baths and re-applied ! I asked Daniel to work some magic on my lounge which was old and dated and the woodwork was all lumpy and damaged. I went away for two days over the weekend and left Daniel to it. When I returned it was like a new room. Everything had been sanded and filled, any holes in the walls were filled in and I couldn't even tell where they were before. The walls were smooth and straightened. For the price I was amazed with what I got. I have asked Straight Edges to do my other rooms in a few months’ time ready for Christmas.
