About Stickney Riding Centre
Riding lessons available from beginner to advanced on a one to one or group basis. Freelance lessons are also available.
Established in 2013 by Sharon Poole BHSAI. Stickney Riding Centre is fully licenced and insured with British Horse Society qualified instructors. We are British Horse Society, ABRS and Pony Club accredited as well as holding a 5* licence for animal welfare from our council. We aim to offer a safe and friendly environment for clients to learn to ride and look after horses/ponies from the age of 4 years old and upwards. We provide lessons for the complete beginner or the more advanced rider in our floodlit all-weather 20x60 arena. Clients can choose between having private lessons or joining a group of similar ability riders, groups are a maximum of 3 riders in order to maintain a good level of instruction to each client. There is a weight limit of 13 stone for all riders. As Sharon is a member of the British Horse Society's register of instructors we are also able to offer lessons to clients with their own horses, either at Stickney Riding Centre or at the clients premises.
Sharon has been teaching riding for nearly 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the establishment.
She trained with German dressage rider Angela Niemeyer Eastwood, whilst based with Angela she had the chance to compete and train with horses from first backing to Grand Prix level. Setting up Stickney Riding Centre fulfils a life-long ambition of opening and running her own business.
