About Steve Ziegler

I have been in the furniture restoration business for 43 years. Based in Horam, East Sussex.
I studied the history and construction of furniture at a London College, while serving an apprenticeship.

My specialism is in antique furniture repairs. Conservation to the fore with full restoration if required. I have restored many pieces classed as 'wrecks' into loved and valuable items. My work includes veneer and inlay work, wood turning, traditional French polishing and oiling to cane and rush seating. I have also worked on modern furniture.

I undertake insurance work involving fire and flood damage.
I have worked for my local Parish Church restoring Church pews. Made items for disabled children and stage sets for a local school.

I can undertake general DIY work for the less able.
