Dropped car off for MOT at 7. 30am, Steins phoned back mid-morning to say work complete. Staff friendly and also provided good advice. Will book car in for a service in the spring.

I booked my MOT 5 days before and they were able to offer me two great appointments early in the morning, meaning that I would get to work on time. My car needed two new tyres, and they were great value for money at x2 £45 +VAT. They also changed a headlight and this was all completed in under an hour! I was extremely impressed with the service and will be coming back here without a doubt next year. Highly recommended.

Had Steins check over a leak, brakes and a faulty air conditioning unit. The guys are all really polite, know what they're doing and they won't charge for anything that didn't need doing. Anything that does need doing they gave a really good price for. All in all an excellent experience and will be back again.

Excellent service from Craig at Stein's, I have had Craig carry out work and repairs to my cars on several occasions and every time have been very satisfied. Most recently he carried out a service on my Yaris -his reply to my job posting was very quick, arrangements were made very quickly and easily by both phone and email to suit me ( posted job Thursday PM, booked in and completed on Monday AM). I was able to drop off the car early, beating traffic and causing minimal disruption to my day and collected it again the same day, early afternoon. Also I had originally requested a full service and MOT but in fact only needed a partial service without MOT and there was no issue with adjusting to my job requirements, the final cost also reflected this. Craig actually lowered his charge from the original and the revised quote, though I would have gladly paid the expected amount regardless. Friendly, reassuring, trustworthy mechanic and garage. He even remembered me from the last time I had used them, impressive given the timescale involved and the number of customers they clearly have. Just had front brake pads replaced at Steins with Brembo ones for a good price. Very good communication and honest diagnosis from Craig. Went to another garage first who told me I needed new brake discs as well. Craig said although the discs were slightly worn, they certainly didn't need replacing! I knew this much as I do have some knowledge about cars but not the experience to do the job myself to a professional standard. Also showed me the older pads and how worn out they were. Will certainly be using this garage for all future motoring services/mot's etc. And also like the fact that I could specify the exact parts/makes I want. I reached out to Steins garage after being let down by a few of the larger garages around edinburgh for a service and mot. From the start the service I received exceptional professional service. From arranging when best to service my car around my schedule to completing the service and MOT and having my car ready for collection well before I was originally advised of when I dropped the car off. I would highly recommend this garage to everyone and will be definitely using the garage again.

First time using this garage and was made to feel like a valued customer and welcome at the garage. Craig is very friendly and approachable, carried out the work I needed at an excellent price and very quickly as I was waiting. Would definitely take my car back for future work and recommend to other people.

I rang Craig up after my failed to start. He immediately accommodated my problem and said he would take a look. I managed to get the car to the garage on Gordon street and left it with him for the day. He explained everything he was going to be doing to the car in detail. The next day he had sorted the initial problem, car was back to running again. Craig charged a very reasonable price for the excellent job he carried out. He is a very knowledgable and highly skilled mechanic and can not recommend him enough. If you are looking for someone experienced, skilful and that won't rip you off then Craig at Stein Motors is your guy.

Thanks to Craig for service above and beyond the call of duty today. I had a problem tracking down my MOT (not from Steins) and was really stuck. However, Craig promised to do a little detective work and was as good as his word. He found the MOT history and rang me back. Can't thank you enough Craig - it was really cheering to speak to someone helpful and thorough. I'll be recommending you to my Edinburgh friends - and anyone else.

I needed a load of work doing on my car so put it into stiens who I had never used before. The service, price and communication was outstanding and it is a place that you know work being done is to the absolutely highest standard by people that you can trust. I can not recommend them highly enough and wouldn't go anywhere else in Edinburgh now.
