Stage Door Youth Theatre is a long established company offering the opportunity to develop all aspects of theatre training in a safe, friendly environment to children and young adults throughout the local area. The company, which is based in Gorleston (Great Yarmouth), originally started out in 1997 and has many years of experience in the Performing Arts sector.

The company provides members with the opportunity to participate in 'Stage Door' productions and presentations of Drama and Musical Theatre at venues in and around the local area. Stage Door aims to bring out the true potential in all members, through drama games, role play and devised theatre practice, and many of the student alumni work as professionals in Theatre, Film and Television. The fully qualified staff ensure that members have every opportunity to improve their skills in Acting and Musical Theatre through one to one private tuition classes, studying the LAMDA syllabus. The exainations are designed to give a more in-depth study of the acting process and key practitioners within the Arts. Stage Door has a 100 per cent pass rate. All tutors are fully CRB checked.

With just 3 hard working staff members, Stage Door Youth Theatre has a young team, well practiced to degree level.

The company is managed by Sheila Pascall who has worked within the Performing Arts industry for many years. She is well trained to manage the company, having previously been employed by Schools and Colleges. She is currently teaching Speech and Drama at St Felix School in Southwold. A long standing member of the actors union Equity, Sheila continues to perform professionally in the Theatre and Television as much as she can. She is also Company Manager and Director for Pegasus Productions, an adult theatre company.

Stage Door Youth Theatre is affiliated with London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
