St Andrew's Children's Society is a voluntary adoption and fostering agency with offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We have been helping vulnerable children find safe and loving homes for over one hundred years as we celebrated our Centenary in 2022.

We are looking for people who can foster a child on a short term, long term and short break (also known as respite) basis. No previous fostering experience is necessary as all training will be offered. You also do not need to have any qualifications to be a foster carer with us.

We offer our foster carers excellent fostering support. You will be assigned a social worker from our Edinburgh or Aberdeen office depending on where you live and they will offer you the right support for you at the right time.

Among other things you will receive 1-2-1 fostering support and supervision, regular visits and catch ups, help with official meetings and highly competitive fees and allowances.

We are members of The Fostering Network and so if you foster through us you will also receive free membership to The Fostering Network.

If you are would like to transfer to us as a foster carer, perhaps because you are moving to Edinburgh or would just like to change from your current fostering service, we can help you with the whole transfer procedure.
