SPT Plastering

Simon did a fantastic job plastering our living room. He was friendly and pleasant to deal with. The price was very reasonable and he completed it quickly. It looks great! We will definitely use again and recommend.

WARNING DO NOT USE. This man came to price a job at my friend’s house who are completely blind. They trusted and welcomed him to go in his home and he then wrote a disrespectful, untrue Facebook post about them - also breaking confidentiality and writing where they live. (See photo attached) The post mentioned that they were bumping heads and falling over. I was at the house when Simon was there (there were two PAs, including myself), and I can confirm this is absolutely not true. Both of them are very independent, and statements like this are completely demeaning to blind people. This kind of behaviour is not only unprofessional, it’s disgraceful. I am still shocked and appalled that someone would write this. I wouldn’t trust this man to do work in anyone’s house, do not use, stay away.

Just had the extension rendered to match the existing house and the match is amazing. Also had the inside boarded and skimmed. Very happy it looks wonderful. Thanks!

This bloke came to price a job for 2 of my friends who are both completely blind, so putting their trust in strangers can be hard. He came in and had a look and took photos, didn't say much but we then found out he posted about them on social media about them being blind and made up a load of rubbish about it! Saying they were falling over, bumping their heads and into eachother and that its pickled his brain. I've added the screen shot of the post and I am the support worker that was there and can confirm none of this happened. They are both more than capable of walking around their house without falling over, they are so independant and literally need me for minor help. So if you need any plastering done but have any disabilities or differences you may be wrote and lied about on Facebook by this 'lovely' man.

Avoid this abusive, unprofessional, discriminatory, prejudice and aggressive person if you don't want to have a horrible and traumatic experience. My partner and I are both blind, and for years we have had various work people in our home, who have always been polite, considerate and respectful. However Simon Tatlock was completely different. Simon Tatlock came to our home to look at a plastering job and met myself and my partner. He said he would give us a quote, but we didn't hear from him. We were then shocked, distressed, and appalled to realise that he had put a very abusive, aggressive, prejudice, discriminatory, derogatory and very unprofessional post on Facebook, attacking both of us just for being blind. Obviously I have a screenshot of the post as evidence, which I have attached to this review, but in case you are not able to see the screenshot attached, here is the text of his abusive, aggressive and discriminatory post: . "wtf man pricing that job has just pickled me the f*** out in Kingswood she told me she was blind bless her but her partner was blind to Omg man they was falling over banging their heads on stuff falling into each other as was showing me stuff in loft needed doing etc Jesus man thank god there was a support worker there to help lol. ". Obviously anyone who knows anything at all about visual impairment would know that just because someone is blind does not mean that they are falling over and banging their heads all of the time. Obviously neither myself nor my partner fell over or bumped our heads once during the few minutes that Simon Tatlock met us, and obviously both of our PAs who were there also witnessed that we did not fall over or bump our heads. This shows that he only posted this to aggressively belittle, degrade, humiliate and ridicule two customers just for being blind. The overly exaggerated repetition of the lie about us falling over and banging our heads also shows that what he said is completely unrealistic and impossible. What he did also goes against confidentiality and against data protection laws, because he has deliberately publicised and broadcasted that we are blind and publicised our location. He clearly is the kind of person who aggressively and abusively attacks, humiliates and ridicules customers, and publicises confidential details about customers such as their location. My partner and I are shocked by how abusive, aggressive, prejudice, discriminatory, mocking and ridiculing Simon Tatlock is towards customers. This has been very upsetting for myself and my partner, and we can't believe there are people in the 21st century who can be so ignorant, discriminatory and abusive. Because of how aggressive and abusive he has been to us, and because he has broken several laws, two disability related organisations have advised us to take legal action. Simon carried out some rendering on an outside wall. He was quick, efficient and a pleasure to have around. The wall now looks a million times better. Also excellent value for money.

Simon did a great job skimming my textured ceiling. It took him about 5 hours in total and he left no mess behind. I highly recommend him for any plastering work in the Bristol area.

Simon was so reliable and professional and did a fantastic job, we are very happy with the results and would highly recommend.

Three bedrooms plastered as well as a stud wall bit under the window to fight some damp. Excellent, efficient work and very friendly. Happy customer, would use again and recommend to anybody.

Simon provided a fantastic service skimming three bedrooms, hallway, landing, and stairs. Much of which had 1980s artex covering the walls. Simon worked efficiently and quickly. He provided a quote up front and ensured continual communication throughout the process. I would highly recommend.

Simon is lovely and friendly. He came out gave a quote for all but 2 rooms in our 3 bed home and was able to start on the agreed date. The work is excellent and him and his brother worked efficiently and tidily round all our furniture! . A special thanks for being extra patient with my mum who has dementia - you and Wayne had a calming effect! All good and will use again when I need the remaining rooms done.

Simon did a brilliant job re-plastering our kitchen ceiling, no fuss and no mess. I would recommend him without hesitation.

SPT have completed various projects for us professionally, and today I got the customer experience as he worked in my house. Simon was 10 mins early, (even on a Saturday! ) and carried out the job quickly, cleanly, with a clear eye for detail and leaving a top class finish. Having given SPT a few plastering jobs now, and recieving great feedback, it was nice to see for myself. His professionalism and ethos of putting the customer first align with ours. Simon communicated with me very well from start to finish of the job. Whilst on a busy schedule he managed to fit skimming my bathroom ceiling into a Friday morning. He turned up at exactly the agreed time and was very efficient at organising his tools and prepping the hallway to my bathroom. I recently had the hallway freshly painted white and I'm pleased to say that it was still white when he left - no plaster over the walls or mess left in the carpet - I was very happy about this. All mixing was completed outside of the property and left clean and tidy once he had finished. Whilst completing the job, nothing was too much trouble for him and he was happy to touch up any parts I was being extremely fussy about. Very pleased with the job and will be using his services again for another plastering project I have.

Simon was very pleasant to work with and did a good job of skimming a plastered-boarded ceiling. I was very happy with the result.

Simon and Wayne are the consummate professionals, they were both informative and diligent and a joy to work with. Both continually kept us up to speed with progress and always on time. They will always be my point of contact for additional work. Alan.
