Southwell Cakery design, bake and decorate cakes and cupcakes for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.
Our studio is located at Southwell Business Centre, in the beautiful minster town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. It has the highest Food Hygiene Rating of 5, and is open most week days 9. 15am - 3. 00pm, or by appointment.
We work closely with a number of local venues being one of their selected preferred wedding cake suppliers.
In 2017, Southwell Cakery was a regional finalist in the Wedding Industry Awards. Then, in 2018 they were awarded a Gold in the Bridebook Awards.

Please note, we only bake to order, and don't have celebration cakes available 'off the shelf'.
We offer free consultations to wedding enquiries.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have an enquiry. You can contact us by phone, email or pop into the studio (please call first). When enquiring, please provide the following information:
- Date, time and venue.
- Size of cake or number of portions
- Type of cake-Sponge (Vanilla, chocolate, lemon are our most popular flavours), or fruit cake.
- Design/style, have you seen a cake you like? Images from magazines/the internet are a good starting point.

Country Mumkin have just supplied Peppa Pig cupcakes for my daughters 2nd birthday party. They looked fantastic and tasted great. What I loved was that Ruth took my ideas and with her creative flair exceeded my expectations. The end result was an individual cake for each party guest in a bubble cupcake holder with a personalised thank you for coming to my party and a picture of my daughter. Much better than sending cut cake home in a napkin!

I used Country Mumkin for my daughters christening and thought the cup cakes were absolutley amazing! Ruth followed my exact brief and they were just what I wanted. All of my family and friends commented on how good they were and they were a real hit with everyone (adults and children! ). I thought they were really good value for money and the quality of the cakes themsleves, the decoration and presentation were all first class. I would definitely use Countrt Mumkin again!
