Safe Working is No Accident! For most employers Health and Safety is on the important pile but there's often something more pressing to do. My aim is to ease the burden by helping employers manage risk proportionately and at an affordable, achievable rate.

With experience in enforcement, in-house advice, operational management and external consultancy we provide a balanced view of Health and Safety so that advice is relevant, balanced, achievable and affordable. SWSM supports employers in most sectors including education, hospitals, health care, manufacturing, motor transport, demolition, leisure, food manufacture, cyber security etc.

For contractors (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, etc) we help make successful applications for accreditation and and contractor control reviews to secure and retain business.

While primarily focused on guiding employers in and around Gloucestershire (Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol, Gwent, Monmouthshire, Warwickshire, Hereford and Worcester) SWSM is able to provide services to employers over a wider area.

The company provides the full range of consultancy services to employers; Audits, Policies, the various forms of Risk Assessment, investigations, bespoke short briefings through to longer training sessions.

The service is intended to be cost effective, helping employers to manage their businesses, satisfy legal requirements and so avoid the costs, pain and disruption associated with workplace accidents.

South West Safety Management Ltd is managed by John Timmins who is a Fellow CIPD, CMCIEH, MIIRSM, MIOSH. Perhaps most importantly he has been listed in HSE's register of consultants OSHCR since its launch in 2011.

South West Safety Management has a growing network of clients, in and around around Gloucestershire, including road haulage, brewing, churches, charities, primary education, quarrying, stone masonry, manufacturing and builders merchants.
