Very unpleasant experience. Ordered replacement peavey speaker baskets monday 16th April. was delivered but mail company refused to hand over due to instructions saying that I had to take delivery. Never heard of that before. Nor had the person I spoke to at sound and vision. Although he said that they "subbed out" the delivery to someone (? ). I had to go to the depot to pick up. Took delivery and boxes damaged. (these boxes were taped together, without any protection. 4mm of cardboard protecting £170 worth of speaker spares. Unsure if this would effect the workings. Spoke to the bloke at sound and vision who apparently turned out to be the "owner". Very aggressive attitude. Would not send any new ones out unless I "paid £170 for new ones and got a refund on the old ones when they received them". Yeah, like I've got a spare £170 floating about. Get a grip. Gig is next weekend and he wouldnt send advance replacement as I didnt have an account. He kept saying, send my (his) ones back as they belonged to him. What he meant by this is anyones guess, as he did not give these freely. I had paid for them. Parcel company said if I refuse delivery, they hold goods for 5 days before returning. Gig is in 7 days time. Not very helpful. Have now spoken to Peavey UK who were extremely helpful and understanding. He is aware of this situation and passed the picture of the speaker damage around his workshop. All techs agreed that the voice coil, although slightly damaged may not effect the workings, but to install them and get back to him if this is not the case. They are also aware of the lack of understanding, helpfulness and the rudeness of this outfit. All these details are a true account of the telephone conversation I had with this "owner"In my opinion, the discusting service I have received is unacceptable. I would never treat anyone in this manner and will never shop there again. You, can make your own mind up. But if I were reading this, I wouldnt shop there. A trypical issue here. Response : Total rubbish. You where carded as no one was in. Unfortunately the box was damaged, you refused to open the box and see if the goods where damaged. You insisted on having us send replacements immediately whilst you still had the goods. We asked you to pay again and we would refund upon receipt of the damaged goods. You refused. Your choice. We are major Dealers in Peavey product and carry large stocks of spares and provide a next day back up service. But you refused to pay for extra goods. You even marked us down on price when we are the best price in the Uk for this item.
