I have been training at Somerset Wing Chun for a number of years now and still learn something new every lesson from the instructors that are all at a very high standard in this art. I would highly recommend this club for anyone wanting to start a martial art.

I’ve been training at this Wing Chun Kung Fu club for 5 months now, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every session. Sifu Bill's mastery of the system is mind blowing. The instructors are highly skilled, patient, and passionate about teaching authentic Ip Man Wing Chun. They create a welcoming environment for all levels-whether you’re a complete beginner or have prior martial arts experience, like myself. The classes are well-structured, focusing on technique, practical application, and personal development. The club is friendly and supportive, which makes every session enjoyable and motivating. If you’re looking for a place to learn real, authentic, Ip Man Wing Chun, this is the club for you!

It is not what you would expect. The people in the club are friendly and make you feel like you belong, the training is tough but also rewarding and really teaches you how to defend yourself and others. Recommend it for sure.

I've been training at the club for a number of years now. Excellent Wing Chun instruction from Master Bill and club instructors Dan and Steve. Fantastic support from all club members in a ego friendly atmosphere. Great practical fighting art suitable for all regardless of gender, age or physique.

'Easy to learn, difficult to master' is what it says on the tin. These guys will provide exactly what you need to do both. The lessons are well thought out and well structured, and the staff incredibly knowledgable. Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn a powerful means of self defence, build confidence, discipline and expand their mind.

I have been training with Somerset Wing Chun for about 12+ years and I thoroughly enjoy it. The instructors are wonderful and have a huge amount of knowledge and skill to pass on. It's a friendly no ego class where everybody gets along and trains together. Its a pleasure to be part of such a relaxed club but still gain confidence and skill in what I do.

This is a very friendly and welcoming club, with members of all ages shapes and sizes. The fees are very good value and little equipment is needed. Wing Chun is a fascinating martial art with real self-defence application. Bill, Steve and Dan have great experience as instructors, and I like it that each bring their own style and biases to their teaching. You don’t need to be especially fit or flexible to enjoy the training and if you stick with it then it is hugely satisfying. I’ve tried a little Shotokan karate and Muay Thai in the past – wish I’d found Wing Chun though!

Very welcoming ego-free club with first-class instruction for a very practical martial art. Will suit male or female practitioners any age or fitness level as the art does not use muscle strength and is tailored to the individual, would highly recommend. View less.

I have now trained in Wing Chun with this club for a number of years. I have always found the club to have a very professional approach to delivering training that allows you to progress through the system at your own pace. It is free from ego’s and pressure to doing something that you are not comfortable with. I have also found that many of the other students are very willing to assist and help you when required. If you want to learn Wing Chun or a self defence system this is the place I would recommend.

I have trained in a few martial arts before coming to Somerset Wing Chun. Bill and Ed provide expert tuition based on your needs and abilities. Very few teachers provide the quality and depth of knowledge of their art. Very friendly club too.
