From the moment I first contacted Smart Ed UK, Karen was helpful, supportive and answered all of our questions. She made the whole process of booking exams for my home educated son very simple and stress free - especially welcome as we hadn't done this before. In the lead up to the exams, Karen sent emails with all details we needed in plenty of time. On the day of the exam Karen made my son feel welcome and reassured. He found the whole experience of the exams relaxing and we will be returning to Smart Ed UK to sit further GCSE exams next year, having chosen to split them across two years. I did My GCSE Biology Science exams at Smart Ed, the staff are wonderful and make you feel at ease. Toilets available too. Nice small room to sit exam and feels like your at home.

I took AQA GCSE maths and English language exams in November 2020. The exam centre owner Karen couldn't have been more helpful with guiding me from the inquiry stage to post-exam communications. There is a decent free public car park within 2-3 minutes walk from the centre (see the attached Google map) and the rooms where the exams took place are not the typical daunting halls where rows and rows of students sit in silence awaiting the loud bell ringing. Instead, it feels like writing a novel at home and I remembered that Karen lit up scented candles during the exam, which is rather calming. All in all, I totally recommend taking your private GCSE exams here if you missed doing them or hoping to get better grades!

I was only able to get the grades I had really worked so hard for through Smart Ed UK. The centre utilized all of their resources to get my entries approved as a private candidate. Ma'am Karen's involvement with every candidate on individual basis makes them feel comfortable. They always try to do what they can if you tell them your concerns. Now I would be able to progress further with my studies without any delay. Thank you once again to your exam centre for assisting me with GCE A Level examinations. .

There can be no doubt that Karen from Smart Ed is capable, considerate, and competent. Her support through difficult times was unfailing and she always has a clear sense of what needs to be done and carries it out promptly and professionally. Even though Karen had much work to get through, especially through the difficulties and uncertainties of the 2020 GCSE and A levels she always took time to keep me informed of the situation and let me know what would be required next. I cannot praise Smart Ed UK enough. At a time when nearly all the exam centres across the country were dropping their private candidates during the covid19 crisis as they felt unable to judge and rank their work, we were lucky enough to find Smart Ed. They took on my home educated daughter despite not knowing her and worked tirelessly talking to her tutors, reviewing her work and marking mock papers to ensure she got the grades she deserved. I found Smart Ed UK to be very helpful when doing my exams this year. They were very professional and knowledgeable about changes to the exams due to coronavirus and made the process a lot less stressful!

Karen at SMART Ed was wonderfully supportive to my son and his education, particularly during the COVID period and before. She actually cared, a lot. In my son's case he had, at times, found it challenging to fit in with the mainstream state school providers where subjectivity can impact on the treatment received in class. However, independent learning is very objective and perhaps a better measure of a persons ability and determination together with the quality of support received. All in all, it was an excellent service during the whole process, and my son's hard work (plus our investment in this external tuition) has paid off with thanks.

Fantastic service from Karen yet again (she tutored my son over 10 years ago). Excellent insight into the English subject and exam technique, making my daughter think differently when approaching the questions.
