I spent many months deciding which one of the many Paramotoring training facilities to book for my training, as there are none in my Scottish homeland. After reading reviews, and watching hundreds of videos, it was a no-brainer that SkySchool was the most professional and safety conscious professional paramotor training company by far. I drove for six hours to get from Glasgow to a small airfield near Banbury, called Hinton Airfield. I thought of all the paramotor training clubs that I had driven past, that were hundreds of miles closer to Scotland, and just hoped that SkySchool would be everything that I wanted and needed them to be. My first morning started with a meet and greet in the SkySchool classroom, followed by an introduction to Paramotoring, from safety awareness, to getting familiar with the controls of the wing, paramotor, and how a paramotor actually stays in the air safely. After a few hours briefing and whiteboard training, it was time to get out on the airfield and get hands on with some of the equipment. There were lots of trainers, and although we were a pretty large group, the training team were roughly half our size and everyone was adequately looked after. After lunch we practiced wing handling and were expertly taught how to correct little mistakes and how to keep the wing in the air. This was hard work for everyone, but very valuable knowledge in learning to fly, so we spent many hours during our training trying to perfect the ground handling of the wing. SkySchool are a very professional company and every little detail of every aspect of flying is explained until the whole group completely understands. I truly thought I had read and watched every video about Paramotoring and all the equipment etc. , but the SkySchool Team were way above my expectations, and explained so much more valuable information every single day, that made everything about Paramotoring, make so much more sense. After a few bad weather days, and some time in the classroom training, the day arrived when the weather allowed us to hopefully get in the air. This was only a little up and down without the motor on our backs, but the excitement was unbelievable. Everyone had 3 takeoffs and landings, and as the night sky got darker, we packed all the equipment away and headed to our beds. What a buzz. Without giving everything about our training away, we spent more days learning about the engine, the wing, the risers and controls, but most of all, everything we learned was about safety. Learning about the weather, what to look for, when and when not to fly, how mistakes are made, how to stay safe. Very professional experienced SkySchool instructors giving every bit of knowledge and experience to a group of students, to keep us all safe, and to let us all enjoy this wonderful sport in a safe environment. Over the next few days, we all got up in the air again, but this time with a paramotor attached, and learned how to control and fly this wonderful aircraft with the help of the instructors below, using the radios. This is an experience that none of us will forget, even the experienced instructors never forget their first flight, it is truly amazing. We had a few more days flying, gaining more confidence and experience with every take off, landing and flight. I finished my training at SkySchool, and cannot thank the instructors enough for the time and patience and dedication that they showed every day, getting everyone of us, to such a high level, and showing professionalism, determination and constant safety until the very last day. I would personally like to thank the SkySchool management team for running a very professional company, but a personal thanks to Zebur, Ricardo, Pete, Rushi, Otti, Bruce and Jack for the wonderful experience and knowledge that you all gave us. I will never forget my training, and will enjoy my flying days with your help and the confidence you installed in me. Thank you everyone at SkySchool. ?.Moreexpand_more
