Derek sorted both my friend and I out with basically the same activities. He set up and sorted out One-Drive and 365 subscriptions and provided training/familiarisation. Set up a spare laptop for travelling and synchronised this with our main PC. He wiped some old equipment clean. He also set up a a second back-up system He arrived at both addresses punctually and was polite and courteous throughout. His expertise was shared generously and clearly. Also excellent value for money.
The water-cooling unit on my PC had failed and therefore needed replacement. This was done for me in under a week along with rectifying a minor start-up problem. I was also given lots of helpful advice and I have no hesitation in recommending SilverSurf PC unreservedly.
The PC running our CNC Boring Machine was down. Derek was able to sort out the problem (data corruption on the disc) and get it back up and running in a couple of hours. In the unfortunate event of one of our machines going down again we would definitely call Derek!
I was very impressed by the service that I received, Derek arrived at my house later on the morning of my call. He very quickly resolved hijack the issue that I had experienced and then went on to do a general clean up of my laptop, at the same time he offered general advice on management of my system. All in all, excellent value for money, Richard Drew.
After migrating to a new iMac, I encountered a software problem I needed help to solve. I hopefully engaged the services of Derek Mitchell of “SilverSurf”, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision. He paid a home visit, and within less than an hour, he had solved the tricky problem and left me with a fully functional machine! He worked quickly and was thoroughly familiar with the intricacies of the Mac OS. I unreservedly recommend “SilverSurf” if you have issues with your Mac. Derek is probably just as efficient on Windows PC issues, too!
What a relief! When your laptop malfunctions it's so stressful! SilverSurf was recommended by a neighbour, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Rapid attendance, calm and methodical, discreet and knowledgeable, my issue was quickly identified and remedied and I was back in action. All my settings maintained, a few sensible suggestions to update my security protocols without making me feel silly. And all at a reasonable price. I'd thoroughly recommend Silversurf to anyone with pc/laptop technology issues.
During the last 12 months Derek has helped with a number of issues arising from a migration to a new laptop with Windows 11. He is very knowledgeable but takes the time to calmly explain the problem and the required solution. He does not take control of the device but talks you through the process so that you can resolve the issue should it occur again. His fees are very reasonable. I would certainly recommend him.
I'm a senior citizen, new to the area and had a very sick laptop, I was uncertain who to contact. Owing to the positive reviews, I chose Derek who turned out to be the perfect choice.
