Silicon Road is a family run tech repair and resale shop on Bridgend Road in Aberkenfig, serving Bridgend and the surrounding valleys since 2025.

We fix the things other shops turn away. Alongside everyday iPhone and Samsung screen and battery replacements, we handle iPad, MacBook, laptop, PC, and games console repairs, including charging faults, water damage, and component-level board repairs carried out in house. Diagnostics are always free, you get a clear quote before any work starts, and most common repairs are turned around the same day.

We also stock a changing range of refurbished phones, tablets, laptops, and consoles, each one tested and checked before it hits the shelf. Got old tech gathering dust? We buy devices for cash or take them in part exchange against anything in stock.

Phone repairs are the heart of what we do. Cracked screens, worn batteries, faulty charging ports, broken cameras, and speaker or microphone problems are all fixed at the bench in our Aberkenfig workshop. We work on all major brands including Apple, Samsung, Google, and other Android handsets, and we stock quality replacement parts so most jobs are completed the same day. For more serious faults such as liquid damage or phones that will not power on, we carry out board-level diagnostics and microsoldering, which means many devices written off elsewhere can still be saved along with the photos and data on them.

Beyond phones, our workshop handles laptops, MacBooks, desktop PCs, and games consoles. Common jobs include laptop screen replacements, keyboard and battery swaps, storage upgrades, overheating fixes, and software problems such as slow performance or Windows faults. On the console side we repair PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch machines, including HDMI port replacements, drift issues, and overheating. Every repair is tested thoroughly before it goes back to the customer.

If you are after a phone, tablet, laptop, or console without the brand new price tag, our refurbished stock changes weekly. Every device we sell is inspected, tested, and cleaned before going on the shelf, and we are always happy to talk you through the condition and history of anything in stock. We also buy used tech for cash and offer part exchange, so your old device can go towards your next one. Trade-ins are priced fairly on the spot with no obligation to sell.

Silicon Road is independently owned and based right here in Aberkenfig, a short drive from Bridgend town centre, Sarn, Tondu, and Maesteg.
