About Sewn to Order
Hi, I am a LLandudno based dressmaker with many years experience in my trade. From curtain shortening to all types of garment alterations and mending. No job to small, I take a great deal of pride in my work and customer satisfaction is very important to me.Taking in and letting out dresses, trousers, jackets and skirts professional fitting and finish to customers requirements. Making and customising garments and soft furnishings to customers specifications.
My experience as a seamstress started at the age of seventeen in a sewing factory, I worked on a make through line and gained much experience on the flatbed and overlock machines. Since then I have worked making bridal veils and spent the last seven years in a wedding shop altering, fitting and making dresses. Qualifications include City and Guilds pattern drafting and design and City and Guilds clothing craft.

I have just had a 'bollywood' dress finished off by Ruth and she has done a fantastic job even at such short notice. I had 2 fitting appointments and the on the second one Ruth did the finishing touches that made the dress perfect. It feels like a couture garment made especially for me. I would definitely recommend Ruth, she knows what she is doing, has experience and is keen to get it right for the client. Thank you Ruth I'll send a picture at the event next week!
