I cannot rate Rukhsana highly enough, she is amazing at what she does and is a complete perfectionist in every way. Rukhsana has done alterations for me over the last few years, adjusting both my daughters prom dresses to make them fit like gloves and has tweaked and altered several evening dresses for me over the years, just doing the latest one. Rukhsana immediately recognises and 'gets' what needs doing and gives the very best and honest advice, her work is just impeccable and she cares so much about what she does. Whilst just doing the alterations to my latest dress Rukhsana has also very kindly offered to look at an evening dress that my daughter has had altered in her University town and which, we thought, had been ruined beyond repair by the shocking alteration work that had been done to it. Rukhsana has unpicked everything that has been done, put the dress back to its original state with no markings whatsoever and then done the alteration to a perfect fit. Rukhsana is old school trained, has an eye for detail like nothing else and has a wealth of skills and experience that I believe is very hard to find these days. I would never trust anyone else with my alterations and would recommend her 100%. She is amazing at what she does and is also such a wonderful, caring lady in every way. I googled a tailor and this company came up. I delivered my clothes to the owner Rukhsana (who is lovely) and she did an excellent job shortening my sleeves with cuffs. You would never know the shirt had been altered. Excellent job, highly recommend!

I contacted Ruksana about altering my daughter’s prom dress, it needed taking in and shortening. From the first phone call she was so helpful, asked for photos and explained exactly what she could do and rough prices, there was no pressure. We went for the fitting and she really took her time and explained everything that she was doing, she made me and my daughter feel at ease throughout. The attention to detail was brilliant. The dress was ready to pick up in great time, and she explained what she had done, made sure it fitted perfectly and told us to check it and make sure we were happy with how its fits, we never felt rushed throughout the whole process. Rukhsana was amazing not only with her work but as a person. She tapered and hemmed my wedding pants. She was very precise and meticulous. They looked really baggy and unflattering previously. She made them fit perfectly just as I wanted. Very honest and trusting advice given super efficient. Highly recommend!

Absolute gem! I had a pair suit of trousers that were far too big for me and could take find a replacement pair that matched the colour. Rukhsana did a complete resize on them changing them from a 40” waist to a 36”, tapering and shortening the legs. Absolute life saver, done in a timely fashion! Professional throughout the whole process!

I brought my suit in to get it tapered; the jacket taken in, the sleeves of the jacket taken in, and my pants tapered and taken in. I had some expensive trousers which is part of a tweed suit that I required altering, I required the waist letting out the length shortened and the legs tapered in. I put in a search in Google maps and found Sew and Cut, I read the customer reviews and everyone had given 5 stars and said what a lovely and genuine person Rukhsana was, and what a professional job she had carried out on their garments they needed altered. I contacted Rukhsana and asked if she would be able to make some alterations I required to my trousers and after discussing my requirements and Rukhsana explaining her process and confirming timescale, I arrange a convenient time to meet Rukhsana and drop the garment off. Just as people had said in their reviews what a lovely person she is, I was made very welcome and everything about the alterations were explained in detail. Rukhsana contacted me when they was ready and I went to collect. What a fantastic and professional job she has done, you would not know any alterations had been carried out and the fit was perfect. I couldn't be happier or sing her praises enough, I travelled from Doncaster to have these alterations carried out and it was worth my time travelling the distance, I would highly recommend anyone to use Rukhsana she is a very experienced, skilled and professional lady you will not be disappointed. I will definitely use Rukhsana again.

Rukhsana was amazing, I couldn’t recommend her service enough. I needed the waist taking in on my suit trousers and my suit jacket taking in as well around the body. I was talked through the whole process whilst the trousers and jacket were pinned about what Rukhsana was doing and whether or not I was happy. I got them back way before my graduation and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Rukhsana is excellent at what she does as well as being friendly and welcoming and I would highly recommend, I will definitely be back.

We had an adjustment done on the straps of my prom dress. She took amazing care and time with the dress to ensure it didn’t get damaged and it was perfectly measured to fit. She notified us when it was available and had a second fitting to make sure it was just right. Ruhksana is very professional, kind and patient, and she takes great time in her work. Had a couple of suits altered due to them being a little too large - included taking in of the jackets. Impressive attention to detail from the start and all done really neatly, wouldn’t know any work had been done and they look much better than previous. Good communication throughout and overall was a really easy process.

I have since returned to Rukshana with another dress after she altered my wedding dress. She has done another fabulous job, nothing was too much trouble and she always pays particular attention to detail. She is a perfectionist and wanted to ensure by me going back to try on again that everything was perfect before she completed. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness, honesty and professionalism.
