Now that the majority of the work has been completed, I have to say I am thrilled with the results. When the scaffold come down, I am sure its all going to look brilliant! As a company owner, I wanted to congratulate the entire Team at SDS. You have all been kind, courteous, hard-working and engaged in the project. Notably, Jack did the majority of the work. As part of my job as a CEO, I am always looking to build a great team and help my Team flourish. Jack was so engaged, polite and courteous at all times. He loves SDS and what he does and is incredibly passionate about his job and his bosses. Jack also has a great moral compass. If he were at my company, I see him, with more training, to one day be part of my senior management team. He seems to have an excellent, reasoned head on his shoulders and is an absolute asset. Definitely not a Top Banana! On the 24 July 2023 I forwarded a request to SDS Roofing Services using the format on their Website. The request involved a survey to check the material condition of the roof on my house inclusive of a fitted chimney and relocating a small number of dislodged tiles. I did not receive any reply from SDS until they were prompted by an email from me on the 16 August 2023 (24 days following request) An agreement was made during a telephone conversation with the Office Manager on 16 August 2023 that the SDS Contracts Manager would visit my home address at 11 o’clock on 22 August 2023. On returning home in good time for the Appointment on the due date I was informed by my wife that the Contracts Manager, without any prior communication, had arrived early and completed the survey of the roof inclusive of the dislodged tiles. A telephone conversation was conducted pm 22 August. During the conversation, which included obvious issues resulting from an early arrival, the Contracts Manager stated that a Full Report of his findings would be forwarded by email at no cost. On Friday 01 September 2023 (10 days following the visit) I had not received any communication from SDS so I forwarded an email (2nd prompt) requesting the Contracts Managers Report together with a quote for the work that had been outlined. No response was received from SDS. On 15 September 2023 (22 days following the visit) I sent yet another email requesting a copy of the Report plus Quote and also clarification of the intentions of the Company to complete the work. Within 20 minutes of sending the email, I received both a telephone call backed up by an email from the Office Manager stating that owing to undertaking a recent large contract, SDS Roofing Services Ltd would be unable to conduct any work outside of this contract until Spring 2024. When asked if the Survey Report and Quote completed by the Contracts Manager could be forwarded to aid in the search for another Contractor, I was informed that this could not be achieved as the Report/Quote had not been completed to date and time. When perusing the SDS Website (15 September 2023) you are “greeted” on the Front Page with the following statement, “SDS Roofing Services Ltd offers a professional and reliable roofing service with competitive prices. The service from start to finish was excellent, what started as replacement of roof felt esculated and the team uncovered a big problem with mums roof. They got to work to make the roof safe replaced beams, felt etc and put a new roof and facias on. The work quality is first class for what was a very distressing time for mum and myself having been ripped off by cowboy builders in the past has restored my faith that their are good people in the world. They looked after mum like one of their own and I can't thank them enough. Sean, Leighton and the team are lovely people and would highly recommend this company. Debbie in the office is lovely and I will miss chatting to her, Thank you for everything.

SDS removed a redundant chimney from my bungalow and replaced with tiles. A few problems were encountered as the 1950's roof was not built to highest standard. But they persisted and the roof is now fine. A previous single ply membrane on the conservatory was also well done by this company. Happy to recommend.

Sam and his team have recently finished a complete re roofing on our old cottage. The work was done with great care and sympathy to maintain the integrity of an old property. The finishing was excellent, all the team members were very polite and friendly, it was a pleasure making copious amounts of tea and coffee! Everthing left clean and tidy, we would definitely recommend. PS thank you for keeping the dog entertained, she misses you all!

We were looking for a reputable roofing company to replace our flat roof front porch with a tiled roof, unfortunately last year we chose a company who let us down very badly! Not turning up on three occasions and after many requests to return our deposit was ignored we had to request our bank to get our deposit back which took five weeks! After a lot of searching we decided on SDS roofing services. The two gentlemen Sean and Sam visited us and putting us at ease. The whole job took two days and the lads who done the job were fantastic and professional, cleaning up everything when they finished. A beautiful transformation! Decent job carried out of slate tiling on 4 bed house.

Replacement roof tiles, Re-pointing chimney and associated lead flashings. We appreoached SDS Roofing to carry out full replacement of our tired old roof after seeing his excellent work around the local area. He attended to advise us on a good product he quoted promptly and over saw all aspects of the roof replacement and even liased with the guttering company to ensure the work was completed on time. His men worked extremly hard in some quite hot conditions and did a great job on the roof. They were tidy at all times. We would not hesitate to recommend SDS Roofing to carry out all aspects of roofing.

Having been impressed by the standard of their work on a house in West Meon, we asked Sam to quote for repairs to our roof. He came round promptly, and as it turned out when he inspected our roof, the original part needed a complete overhaul. Of the companies we asked to quote, he was the only one who actually got onto the roof for a detailed inspection. He took photographs to show us the problems. He gave a very comprehensive quote (which turned out to be fair for the work involved) and an estimate of timings for the work. He was efficient, professional and polite. The job included stripping off all the old tiles, repairing battens and beams, felting, replacing tiles and lead, repointing the chimneys and inserting cowls, using a traditional mix of lime based mortar, obtaining matching handmade clay tiles to blend in with the existing ones, replacing skylight window, cleaning guttering, removing moss from tiles and finally washing down the walls. The work was carried out by Sam and his delightful team of workers. At all times they were punctual, polite, hardworking and helpful. They were a pleasure to have around and made sure they minimised disruption to us and our neighbours. They were considerate and kept us informed of progress and possible problems, taking photographs of progress each week and tidied up beautifully. Their work is excellent. Sam has a good eye for what is appropriate for an old building, he is knowledgeable and we have no hesitation in recommending him or in using his company again. The scaffolding was set up neatly a few days before there was a short (one day) break in the weather and a team of 4 were able to complete the job (replacing two 'valleys' with fibreglass). No mess left and were careful not to damage other parts of the roof area. Price paid was as per emailed quote.

Sam and the guys did an awesome job tiling our new house (It's the red clay tiled house in the gallery on the SDS website). They were very professional from start to finish and did a fantastic job of turning the picture in my head into reality! We couldn't be more pleased with the finished roof. Many thanks.

Arrived when they said they would to give the quote, once accepted they turned up within the minute of their stated time, worked tirelessly throughout the day, swept up, returned the following day again exactly as arranged, and worked right through, finished early, swept up and all completed. Polite, respectful of the property, nothing damaged, all superbly done and job looks great. Would recommend them again and again. Wish we had found then sooner ! Well done lads.

The replacement of an old, much patched, flat roof in my house causing a leak in the bedroom ceiling was carried out quickly and effectively by Sam and the team,. Just had a new roof and would have no hesitation in recommending SDS Roofing if you are looking for a reliable and professional service. Sam kept me informed at all stages of the work, and their work is of a very high standard. He has a good team of lads working with him who came back after the scaffolding came down to clean up and even sent a window cleaner! Just had a completely new roof fitted. SDS were recommended to me and I have been very impressed with their work. Replacement cast iron guttering on a listed cottage, replacement tiles where missing, waterproofing brickwork and re pointing. Sam provided an indepth verbal report on the work required, he physically inspected the roof and offered suggestions on how to rectify damp issues within the cottage. The quote was very competitive, the lads were professional, polite and reliable. We were updated constantly by Sam with work completed and outstanding work to be done, with photographs of the guttering before and after, so that work we couldn't view from the ground, could still be approved by us. SDS was recommended to me by my mother-in-law. Sam came to view our roof promptly, came back quickly with an estimate having shown via photos what needed to be done and turned up with his team to do the job when he said he would. He and his team worked efficiently and completed work on our ridge tiles and chimney stack within two days. Photographs after the event show the work to be of a high standard. Scaffolding went up and came down with the minimum of fuss and the whole experience was hassle free. Sam is courteous and efficient and so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SDS.
