Through the whole process (identification to completion) I found Stuart and his team to be professional, reliable, trustworthy. They kept me updated on progress, honestly advised me not to skim walls that I was thinking of plastering and even gave me basic 'on-the-job' learning of how to plaster walls, which I hope to put into practice in the future. I wouldn't use anyone else to cary out building work on my house. Stuart is skilled and knowledgeable just as you'd expect a builder to be but in addition he's reliable, thorough, provides a formal service, he's really helpful, patient when explaining things, and of course, leaves every inch of the work he's done finished to perfection.

Stuart was recommended to us by a local painter and decorator and both my wife and I cannot thank him or praise him highly enough for the work that he recently completed. Our property was built in 1920 and required a full re-plaster as the walls were very crumbly and cracked. SD Roberts were able to restore the walls by removing some patches and then using a mesh reinforcement and now the walls look brand new and are silky smooth! We were particularly happy that the plaster did not need to be stripped because we have original cornicing and skirtings and this meant they did not need to be torn down and removed. The level of quality to the work is very high as is the customer service and cleanliness. Stuart did an exceptional job in plastering round bends and between wooden beams in my house and getting a very nice smooth finish that I was very pleased with. I am happy to recommend him and would definitely use again (can't say much better than that ! ).

I had a major renovation on my house with lots of different workmen and I can say with all honesty that Stuart was the only one I was impressed with. Stuart plastered every room in my house and he was excellent. He went over and beyond his work and always helped with any problems that occurred in the house. He was so reliable that I could contact him anytime and he always answered and assisted, i. E. The electrics went off one night and Stuart helped me get it back on again. His work was to a very high quality and lots of people have commented on what a good job that he did. He was also a very clean worker and was very organised. We had Stuart round for a quote offered to do more than we expected, he took all our old dado rails off also the old coving. Stuart, came and gave us a very good quote for our hall wall and ceiling to be plastered, also the ceiling had artex on which he scrapped and prepped first. As the result of some serious water damage due to a hole in the roof we employed the services of SD Roberts to repair and re plaster the bedroom ceiling and to re plaster the bedroom walls. We received a very professional service and the work was carried out to a very high standard. The site was left in a very clean and tidy state and the work guaranteed for 5 years.
