Science Boffins

We booked a Science Boffins party for our son's 6th birthday recently. Our boffin was brilliant - he kept the children (and adults! ) entertained and mesmerised throughout. I can't praise him enough. They all had a great time and my son is still talking about how much he loved it. Highly recommended.

From our initial enquiry through to the actual event we were very pleased with the helpful and efficient service from Science Boffins. Our 7 year old son loved his party and we have had lots of positive feedback from his friends and their parents - I think we all learnt something new amongst all the fun! We would definitely recommend a Science Boffins party!

My sons 7th science boffin birthday party was a huge success and memorable, The science boffin was amazing (having the same name as my son was perfect! ), he was highly entertaining, informative, provided non stop fun and witty! Children and parents thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending a science boffin! Thanks a million.

My son had the science boffins for his 6th birthday the children seemed to enjoy it but I thought it was a lot of money for very little experiments and no sciencey feel or extra touches such as the lab coats which weren't worn like seen in photos on their website/Facebook page. My party started later than requested and finished early which in total took 25minutes off the time I had paid for so at the end of the party I was left a little disappointed and thought I would email to let them know that the boffin and party was fine but I didn't feel the package was explained enough and I thought more experiments than 4 and 1 trick would have been done. The customer service is brilliant they got back to me straight away to apologise and said they would investigate! After coming back to me with what the boffin had said I was left very upset and angry he basically said I had lied he said he did more experiments than he had he said he had started and finished at the correct times and he lied about my children and their friends saying "the problem was they kept running about and I had to call them back" this was a complete lie I had 1 child who is 18month old who was walking up and down the hall I did keep telling her and we kept moving her I completely understand this may have been a pain for him but to say the other children were running around was not truth. The only thing he said he agreed with was the lab coat not being worn he had forgot it and also forgot to mention this to me at the start of the party! My complaint then got passed to the director of the company who again seemed nice but the whole process has caused me nothing but distress disappointment and sadness I was basically being told I was lying and they were shocked as their boffin was one of the best etc I felt like it was going round in circles lucky for me I have photos as evidence that were time stamped and the guests parents to vouch for the amount of experiments done, so in the end a part refund was agreed of which I am very greatful for however I just couldn't recommend this company to any other parent customer service with the admin team and director is 5* the party experience and truth of the boffin I had is disgusting and not value for money!

We had a Science Boffins party for our 6 year old son yesterday and it was a great success! Boffin Rachael managed to keep 18 3 to 7 year olds fully entertained for a whole hour! The kids were amazed with the experiments and enjoyed taking part especially the cola bomb at the end! The party was quite expensive but no more so than taking all the kids to an indoor play area and therefore I think it was better value since it offered a new experience for the kids instead of the usual party format. I would definitely recommend Science Boffins. The service received was very good from initial enquiry right through to the party day.

Best Party Ever! That is the feedback I have had from several mums. Would definitely recommend to any parent. Boffin Diane kept 30 5/6 year olds entertained for 1hr 30mins. The slime making was a particular favourite.

We were lucky enough to have a Science Boffins party for our 6 year old daughter's birthday last week. There is not one thing I can fault about the whole experience! From the initial booking telephone call with fellow science enthusiast Annette, to the final big show with our wonderful Boffin Sophie, everything was perfect. You can tell this is a business that has been founded upon a passion for science and an eagerness to make the wonder of the world of science accessible to those of all ages. The party we chose was an Imp Kids party, aimed at children aged 4-6 years. I have been to plenty of children's parties where the entertainer has struggled to hold the attention of a mixed gender group of children, but Boffin Sophie was fabulous for the 1 hour and 15 minute party that we booked. Passing each of the 20 children a red balloon and dressed in her white lab coat, she commanded their attention for the full duration. She effortlessly led them all in exciting experiments, coupled with relevant discussion about how or why things behave the way they do. Sophie also added her own jokes and humour throughout, which created a really fun environment whereby the children didn't even realise they were actually learning whilst playing! The adults in the room all commented on what a unique and enthralling party it was and many parents asked me to pass on the Science Boffins contact details, which I did so gladly. In fact all of the adults enjoyed the party just as much as the children!I loved that when we booked our party, we could also tailor it to our daughter's preferences with add-ons. We chose the slime making add-on which appealed to both the girls and boys on the day and was further enhanced by the fact that all of the children got to take their slime souvenir home with them! Just another reason why booking with Science Boffins was such a delight. Booked Science Boffins for my 7 year old's party. Mums were delighted as it made a change from the usual parties. Kids were taken away by the experiments. I was proud to have thought of such a fun and educational theme. My daughter had "the best" party! The organisation was smooth, uncomplicated. Great communication. AND the scientist had the amazing ability to keep 19 kids under control whilst giving them a fabulous party. Kids had great fun when Science Boffins came to our school fair. They said it was awesome and funny. They entertained the kids with hands on experiments that they could partake in and loved it! The staff are friendly when booking and scientists are very entertaining. Great educational fun for all the family.

Boffin Tania made my daughters 7th birthday party a total science experience. Young and old were transfixed by the experiments. Reports from parents said their children went home and tried the stick and balloon experiment. Amazing value and loved by all.

We booked Science Boffins for our daughter's 10th birthday party and it was definitely a good decision. Boffin Angela had 25 kids totally transfixed for an hour and a half. There was plenty of interactivity,games and fun special effects - especially the dry ice. Our daughter was thrilled her party was such a success with her friends.

My son and his friend had a excellent 6th birthday party by Science Boffin Nicholas - the children were captivated and engrossed throughout. Experiments were varied and hands on. Slime making was very popular and provided a pot of it for the party bags. Very professional.

My Son's 8th birthday party was great with Science Boffins. We had 18 children of the same age group and all enjoyed the experiments performed.

Superb A comment from my son "this is the best day I've ever had" - you can't top that. "Mad Jack" was great. He entertained the children for about three hours, there was no feeling of wanting to rush off and he joined in when the children were eating. The rockets were epic and the slime making, a great hit. Even the flying saucers I purchased from Scient Boffins to give as a gift to the children at the end were a great success. It really was an excellent and original party with lots of captivated children (and adults). I'm still getting loads of good feedback from the other parents. I would definitely use Science Boffins again.

We had a science party, courtesy of Science Boffins for our 6 year old son. The kids had a fantastic time, and so did the parents. There was some exciting experiments that the kids loved. We found the party to be fun, and educational. The company communicated well with us on the lead up to the party and I was pleasantly surprised when the boffin himself called me the evening before the party. I would recommend the company without doubt.

Our son had a wonderful birthday party with Science Boffins. They were transfixed for the whole afternoon and many parents of his friends said that they didn't stop talking about it for ages.

I was a bit nervous throwing a party for my son's 5th birthday as it meant hosting 30 boys. After my son came home from another party very excited and asking me to do lots of science experiments - I found out it was the Science Boffins who made him so keen, and asked them to host our party too. Boffin Jack had complete command and attention of all 30 happy boys, and parents enthralled too. (I've never seen so many parents actually stay for a birthday party! ) The party was a huge success, we've had a lot of positive feedback, and we have already been asked by many friends about having the Science Boffins to host their party.

The science boffin party run by helen was excellent - great service and audience of kids and adults captivated! We will use them again.
