About SAFE CIC
SAFE stands for Safer Activities for Everyone and is a not for profit community interest company dedicated to promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
From providing free eSafety awareness sessions in schools to processing enhanced DBS checks for dental staff, SAFE CIC really does cover the entire spectrum of safeguarding across all sectors. SAFE offers comprehensive training (online and face to face) on a range of issues, including Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding.
All the training SAFE provides is fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), General Optical Council (GOC) and Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) training requirements. SAFE can offer bespoke courses for specific organisations and can also provide tailor made safeguarding policies and codes of conduct.
SAFE's trainers come from a broad variety of backgrounds including Police, Education and Social Care and are experts in their fields with a collective wealth of experience in safeguarding.
Our Managing Director, Rosie Carter, has vast experience in safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and has worked as a multi-agency child protection trainer for many years.
As a result of her experience in both teaching and training, Rosie identified an urgent need to provide the public with accurate, clear safeguarding information and SAFE was born, originally developed round her kitchen table with other professional colleagues. Since SAFE's inception in 1999, SAFE has grown to provide a nationwide service, we've since moved out of Rosie's kitchen and can now be found at our office in Eye.
SAFEcic is a member of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Suffolk Association of Voluntary Organisations (SAVO), Suffolk Acre and Midsuffolk Action in Partnership.
