My wife and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ryan Jarvis as a Wedding photopgrapher. Ryan came out of his way for an initial meeting with us, where he showed us examples of his work and albums. We were very impressed, and booked Ryan as our photographer. We next met up with Ryan in May, two and a half months ahead of our wedding, in Godmanchester for a pre-wedding shoot. This helped both of us feel relaxed in front of the camera, and allowed us to get to know Ryan better. On the day itself, Ryan photographed Hannah’s preparations at home with her bridal party, whilst his second photographer, Paul, photographed my groom party getting ready at the reception venue. Both photographers were vey discrete throughout the day in picking shots that we didn’t even realise had happened. Ryan was also very organised with getting people into place for the group photos, which relieved any extra pressure from us. Afterwards, Ryan knew exactly where to get the best shots at the venue, and worked very well with his second photographer to get these. Ryan’s service didn’t stop here. We received the photos within a few weeks of the wedding, and he gave recommendations as to photos to include in the wedding, as well as meeting up with us to discuss this. We are now left with a beautiful wedding album, personally delivered by Ryan, which we will treasure forever. We cannot recommend Ryan highly enough. He is a fantastic wedding photographer, very competitively priced for what you receive as part of his package, and is dedicated to getting the very best photos on your wedding day. This is a very delayed review - we got married in May 2017 in the Barbican Conservatory in London. Ryan had been the photographer at two of our friends’ wedding in Bury St Edmunds where I was ‘Bride’s Man’ (sic). Ryan was so personable and relaxed during the day and the photos were so good that we really wanted him as our photographer. Luckily he agreed and he couldn’t have been better. We were not an easy please - when he asked us which one of us would have the getting ready photos on the morning of the wedding, our response was: as two guys, we’ll both be in the gym, so neither of us, but can you stay later and take all the drunken photos? Ryan was more than happy to oblige. We also insisted on only 15 minutes of couple/family photos, which Ryan also went along with happily, and his reportage shots of our day (with 300 people in our Scottish/Indian themed wedding) make us smile every time we see them. They are fantastic and we couldn’t recommend Ryan more highly!

We couldn’t have asked for better wedding pictures! He was so professional and gave brilliant instruction to help us look our best. There wasn’t a picture that we didn’t like, they were all beautiful. Highly recommend.

Ryan was an immediate choice of photographer for our wedding. We had seen his work before and also wanted to keep our wedding suppliers as local as we could to our home community. He fitted the bill right from the start. His professionalism, honest attitude and flexibility is second to none. When we first met with Ryan he put us at ease right from the start. He shared some of his work with us and spoke about his prices, which incidentally are very good for the standard and quality of work he produces. Our special day was all a blur for us. Ryan’s photography has captured so many wonderful moments, both posed and relaxed and spontaneous. It has been so wonderful remembering moments we had forgotten during our hectic filled day. Having Ryan at our wedding day was the easiest decision ahead of the day. The moment we met him and saw his incredible work we were certain Ryan should be our photographer. He is one of the nicest people you will meet in the industry and makes you feel at ease instantly which was hugely important for my Wife and I. All the photos from the Wedding day are absolutely perfect and Ryan is so good at what he does the photos were a breeze on the day. I always thought Wedding photos would be tedious but Ryan is extremely efficient organising people into the right positions and he specialises in taking natural shots. We honestly cannot recommend him highly enough.

Ryan’s professional service from the first day we met him at a wedding fair reassured us that he was the right photographer for us. He was always more than willing to come to our house to discuss our wedding plans etc with us and made us feel so at ease. Nothing was too big a problem for Ryan and he sought to meet our every requirement from arranging our package, sorting our engagement shoot and planning the key photographs for the wedding day. On the wedding day, Ryan held everything together for us. He was so much more than a photographer and stepped in wherever needed throughout. We were so happy to have chosen him for this service. There are no words that can describe how amazing Ryan is at his job! As soon as we had booked our wedding venue, we knew from the start that Ryan was the next person we had to book for our photography with him booking up so far in advance! We knew that the photographs of our big day would be absolutely breathtaking, and we were not disappointed. They were more than we could have ever dreamed of. The photographs are one of the most important parts of the day, with it going so quickly, they brought back so many amazing memories, all captured perfectly by Ryan. When we decided to get married I was sure of one thing. Ryan was doing the photos. Everything else would have to work round that. Ryan had previously done our pregnancy and newborn shoot and the pictures were amazing so we knew our wedding pictures would be too. And he didn't disappoint on 4th March at The Old Hall, Ely. Ryan has been a friend of David's for a number of years and so was also a guest at our wedding. Ryan was brilliant at the venue with the bridal party in the morning while his assistant captured some great shots of the Groom and party getting ready at home. Ryan worked tirelessly throughout the day, putting everybody at ease and going above and beyond to ensure he got the best possible shots. We have received so many fantastic messages about the pictures. They really are an amazing story of the day and capture it so well. We can't recommend Ryan highly enough. We searched for a while to find a photographer that made us say 'wow'. As soon as we saw Ryan's portfolio, we knew we had found the perfect photographer for our wedding! From the moment we met him at our initial meeting to only yesterday when he personally delivered our wedding album he has been amazing. We chose Ryan for our wedding after speaking with a number of photographers all offering different services but our mind was made up very quickly on meeting Ryan. The personal touch of coming to our home address to see us really made us feel at ease and something the other photographers did not offer. We had an informal chat and talked about all our ideas we had for our wedding, and It was clear Ryan would fit in with our day perfectly. In the lead up to the big day we never had any concerns regarding Ryan our pre-wedding shoot was beautiful and some great photographs were taken, this really set us up for our big day. The day of the wedding and Ryan arrived early to meet Katie at our venue and his second photographer on the day arrived at my dads house to shoot us guys getting ready. Whilst all the nerves were setting in none of the nerves were added to by our photographers. Allowing us to get on with tasks we needed to do whilst shooting away and capturing some great shots in the process we are so glad these early stages were caught on camera. Throughout the day both Ryan and his second photographer remained capturing all the special moments, having a second photographer was brilliant as you get that second pair of eyes capturing moments it would be impossible to do with only one photographer. We have since received our photographs and albums and the end result is amazing. The albums are stunning and family and friends are all asking to steal photographs so they can print them too. Everyone I have spoken to about the photographs and photography have loved them. So much so that one friend has since booked Ryan for their wedding having seen him operate on our day. We were so happy that we booked Ryan as our wedding photographer, he has been excellent from start to finish. As soon as we met him before we'd booked a photographer, we knew he was the right choice, his passion for his work clearly shows and this can be seen in his photographs. On the day, Ryan was very professional and mixed very well with the guests, adding a good touch of humour with his excellent photography skills. He took us both aside for photos of just the two of us and his eye for detail and how to capture a great photo really paid off. After the wedding Ryan supplied all the photos on a nicely presented USB stick, we spent many weeks after this trying to pick a selection for our album. After selecting our photos, Ryan then got to work designing our albums. The albums he provides are amazing, they’re so well presented and excellently made. We were both absolutely over the moon and can't wait to share our wedding album with family and friends. We looked at and discounted many wedding photographers, until we met Ryan. After seeing him in action at our friends Kate and Phill’s wedding we knew we had to get his details. He worked so hard on the day to make sure we had all the shots we wanted and despite my bridal party getting stuck in traffic, AWOL friends and relatives during the group photos and a groom who isn’t keen on having his photo taken, Ryan overcame any challenges with ease. Which also helped to keep us calm and relaxed. As a result of Ryan’s efforts and his keen eye for the perfect shot, we have the most beautiful photos of our autumnal wedding day and couldn’t have wished for more. They not only capture Liam and I brilliantly, they show how much fun was had on the day too. We can’t recommend him enough. Thank you Ryan x.

We were first introduced to Ryan Jarvis Photography when my cousin booked Ryan for her daughter's 6 month baby shoot. We were really impressed with his work and my cousin had nothing but praise for him. He then shot their wedding in June 2014, the pictures were incredible. We had got engaged 2 months prior their big day and as soon as we saw their online gallery we knew we wanted to book Ryan. Ryan took the time to visit us at home one evening to show us his portfolio. We knew we wanted to book him anyway but we loved meeting him and it further confirmed we had chosen the right guy. He was genuine and very excited about his profession. We had our engagement shoot in Sept 2015 (We couldn’t wait any longer). Ryan made us feel so at ease from the moment we arrived. The pictures were fabulous, we couldn’t wait for our big day!So 14th May arrived and Ryan met me at the venue for some preparation shots, his friendly welcome and calm approach was just what I needed. I didn’t even notice him taking pictures if I’m honest; it’s something I really love about Ryan’s work. He isn’t a “look at me and smile” photographer, he takes natural in the moment shots. He took a selection of pictures of my Dad’s “first look”, these have been imprinted in my mind, so beautiful. The group shots that everyone dreads were made fun with lots of laughter. 13 group shots were done within 30mins which meant our guests didn’t hang around for ages and could get on with enjoying the day. After all the excitement, Ryan took my new Husband and I out in the grounds for some couple shots. Ryan’s eye for detail and the perfect picture is just amazing. At one point he got his assistant Paul to hold up a branch and he shot through it. Strange at first but we knew he had something special in mind. He was also very accommodating to any pictures we or our guests wanted taken. I wanted one of Ryan’s signature back of the dress shots and without hesitation he obliged and the result was fantastic. We could not be happier with the results. The work that Ryan puts in for the 10-12 hours he’s with you is just outstanding. What an amazing photographer Ryan is. His work is exceptional. We loved his ideas and when we had an idea he couldn't be any more accommodating to create it. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. He was always polite to us, to our guests and very good with our children and other childen we had there. It would be an absolute pleasure to recommend Ryan to anybody looking for professional and fantastic photos to treasure for a lifetime. Ryan is a fantastic photographer. You can clearly see he has a genuine passion and enthusiasm for photography. We went for our pre-wedding shoot and he was constantly seeing interesting backdrops and scenery to use in the photos. On the day he was so good. He made us feel really relaxed and got some fantastic photos while we were getting ready - all without us feeling like we were being papped. The photos throughout the day were brilliant. With just a handful of small children there, Ryan manage to hold their attention long enough to get some brilliant photos as well as some brilliant natural pics of everyone having a good day. From the moment we met Ryan when planning our wedding, he instantly made us feel relaxed and at ease. He didn't push a big sales pitch on us but simply showed us examples of his work and got to know us and what we wanted from the day. We knew instantly that we wanted to book him. As neither of us are that comfortable in front of a camera we had a pre-wedding shoot which I would recommend to any couple who need a little more help feeling comfortable in front of a camera. On the wedding day itself, Ryan and his assistant were brilliant, not only with the photos but Ryan was so helpful in all aspects from tracking down wedding guests, being considerate in the preparation stages and he is great with children. We had a lot of group/family photos after the ceremony and he was confident, funny and friendly when arranging everyone. We were so excited to see the photos afterwards and felt so lucky to have some wonderful photos for us to treasure. One year on, as a beginner photographer I have taken his portrait photography class which was very informative yet relaxed, Ryan has a great teaching style and is patient with everyone in the group. The class was only a few hours but I learnt so much. If I ever need professional photos in the future, I will definitely be booking Ryan and would not hesitate to recommend him.Moreexpand_more
