Ruby Tunes Mobile Disco

Absolutely spot on - we used Ruby Tunes for both an adult charity party and for a children's bonfire party and he was able to get the music absolutely right for each event. Creating the right atmosphere, would totally recommend Ruby Tunes.

Ian has regularly Dj'd for me at Moles club in Bath for our "Big Cheese" night for many years now. His music is always spot on and he keeps everyone dancing all night which is why the night has been packed out weekly for so long. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

We booked Ian for our wedding, the event itself was in the Brecon Beacons and Ian was required to cross the Severn bridge multiple times during the weekend. Before the event Ian was very communicative and keen to understand our requirements. We gave Ian a general theme of the music we wanted and a couple of very specific requests. He took our rather vague briefing, requests from the crowd, and weaved it together into a fantastic event which everyone enjoyed. I would recommend Ian to anyone planning a wedding or any other event and he would be my first choice if I organise any event in the future.

Hired Ruby Tunes for my Daughters 13th Birthday. All "in the moment" tunes were played and any others that the children requested. Great to see the children up dancing and enjoying themselves. I have also seen this DJ do a set in a club and again dance floor was packed, great music played. DJ set up and cleared up efficiently and was very friendly and approachable. Highly recommended.

Ian played a great mix of latest tunes and older favourites - the kids loved it! Ps I had no idea how much a disco cost, but his fees were much lower than I had expected but the quality was better!

Ian of Ruby Tunes was the DJ for your wedding in 2014. He was a great help and played exactly the music we wanted. Everyone danced from the start and the dance floor was full the whole evening. We can't recommend him highly enough.

Ian has always been a brilliant person to work with – accommodating, helpful, easygoing. And as for the music, well all the guests at the events I have organised have raved about the music, so Ruby Tunes is always my first port of call when looking for a DJ.

We've booked Ian (Ruby Tunes Mobile Disco) on two occasions in 2013 and 2016 for family occasions (silver wedding and birthday party). On both occasions, Ian provided a fabulous disco which went down very well. He used our playlists as a basis but also took requests on the night so everyone was happy. We'd definitely book Ian again.

Ian was incredible - he gave us absolute control of our evening playlist, sending over his catalogue so we could rule certain bands/tracks in/out before our wedding. It meant we could give our intimate wedding a very personal touch. He arrived promptly and set up in quite a small space which meant that the evening could easily and seamlessly switch from our live band to the DJ. Would recommend Ruby Tunes to anyone who wants a decent DJ with none of the cheese.

Ian and his colleague DJ'd for my 40th birthday party in Bath, November 2015. Ruby Tunes were really excellent from start to finish. The email and telephone communication with Ian prior to the event was great, Ian was able to accommodate all of my music requests. He ran through the whole evening with me to accommodate speeches etc. He also advised me that he would not do any talking - no cringey jokes or comments! He turned up exactly as planned to set up, played brilliant music and filled the dance floor all night. His lights and lasers had a real 'wow' factor and plenty of people commented positively about them. Ian was slightly more expensive than the other people I called and worth every penny based on music choice, great DJing skills and professionalism. I have booked Ian again for my wedding party in May 2017.

Great disco. Suitable for weddings that want quality music as well as family fun. Ian was very easy to deal with prompt replies to all questions and requests. Set up early at the venue so no stress on the day. Recommended.

A true music lover and a lovely chilled guy - Ian understood exactly what was needed at our charity gig. He chose tracks that kept people dancing and kept the dance floor busier than Clapham Junction! Ian loves his lighting fx which gives so much more atmosphere to the gig and really brought our venue alive. Above all, Ian has none of the ego-mania exhibited in a lot of DJs who just aren't approachable. He's totally amenable to requests and loves a musical challenge. Massively recommended for a really wonderful evening.

Ruby Tunes was fabulous for our event. Ian the DJ was very easy to work with, very adaptable to playlist requests and requests on the night. Everyone loved the music that was played. I would highly recommend.

Ian did a family disco for us last night. It was absolutely fabulous, he has all his own lighting, every tune we could think of and he was super friendly and nice to have around. He even did a round of musical statues and played happy birthday…everyone had a fab time from ages 1 to 70! Well done Ian and thank you so much, Charlotte and Ted.

Ruby Tunes provided the disco for our wedding, and did an amazing job. We had some unusual musical requests, which he accommodated brilliantly and people were dancing right until the end. A+.

We asked Ruby Tunes to DJ at my husbands 40th. They were really helpful with the play list. We chose a mix of songs that we knew would go down well with our friends, and suit the venue (a local cricket club). Ian then chose about half the playlist based on our original choices. The music we wanted ranged from older alternative (Cult, Chilli Peppers etc. ) to 90s dance music, to club classics, and a bit of cheese (ok, Abba and Manilow) too. Ian was completely easy with our choices. The service was great, with Ian taking requests and keeping everyone on the dance floor and happy. I'll definitely use them again.
