We first used Flexible Contractors 18 months ago and they did such a great job that when we needed more painting done we didn't hesitate getting them to do the job. Jim and Poli are extremely professional and offer a fantastic service. Jim is very friendly and an absolute pleasure to have in our home. As well as being friendly his paint work is fantastic! We will definitely use them again when we need more painting done.

Jim was professional throughout and I could not believe its the same room. What a transformation. He did a beautiful job.

Firstly, they painted the main rooms of the house very quickly before we moved in. After that, we asked them back to paint the outside of the house, fix guttering, sort out rotting window sills, paint the porch etc, and again they did an excellent job. We also negotiated that they paint the hall and stairs, which meant that when the weather was bad they were able to work inside, and then continue outside when it stopped raining. All the work is to a good standard, and they were very keen to deal with any snagging and to ensure that I was completely happy. The guy in charge speaks good English, and it was easy to communicate both in person and by email. They are the only firm (out of 12 companies I called) who turned up to quote for the job and then actually sent me a quote. I would highly recommend them.

We have hired Jim for several big jobs over the years and couldn't be happier with his work. He is a true craftsman, paying attention to the smallest details. His work outlasts that of other painters we have hired by a long shot, and his rates are very fair. He's friendly, honest and a pleasure to work with.

Having employed Jim on a number of small jobs over the years, and always found his work excellent value and highly satisfactory, I asked him to take on a complete renovation of my house when I decided to do it up and let it out. We are based in the midlands and wanted someone to decorate our Docklands flat in London. We found Flexible Contractors on the internet and were very impressed with their website. We contacted them and gave them our tenant's details in order that they could arrange to visit the property and quote for the job. We required the skirting board, walls and ceilings throughout to be painted and were very impressed with the way that the job was carried out and the timescale, all for a very competitive price. We have another property in London and will definitely use Jim and Poli again.

We had to repair exterior and interior of the house from penetrating damp. And Flexible contractor did excellent job repairing really fast with reasonable price. Jim is very helpful and honest builder! Happy to recommend him to others!

Jim came highly recommended by friends who redecorate their flat last year. Jim and his team did a brilliant job renovating our house's communal areas, re-painting internal walls and ceilings and re-varnishing bannisters and wooden floors. Crucially (since this was to be paid for by a number of flats), their quote was very reasonable compared to others we'd been given and it was totally transparent. However, for me what really sets them apart is their customer service, which is flawless - Jim went out of his way to make sure that the job was finished on time and that all flats were happy with the work. I would definitely recommend and use Flexible Contractors again.

Job spec: An interior repaint of a large 1 bedroom victorian conversion flat in Blackheath (all rooms). This short notice work request was carried out within 4 days (! ). The team at Flexible Contractors went out of their way to deliver a first-class finish, including a number of complimentary interior wall repairs that had not previously been anticipated. The work was completed on-budget and, having initially shopped extensively for quotes, I found the price was extremely reasonable. I would not hesitate to use the services of this company again, and give them my highest recommendation. This warm husband-and-wife team are very pleasant and hospitable - an unexpected bonus!

We used these guys to do up our house before selling. They're flexible all-rounders with a great deal of common-sense and know how, competitively priced, and a good sense of humour to round it off. What could have been a chore turned out to be a treat. From plastering to painting, and from repairing the garden fence to making the door and windows look brand new. Quality work with a beautiful finish, easily done.

Fantastic workmanship throughout! I needed a few odd bits and pieces to be done, including plastering, tiling and painting. Jim did everything to a highly professional standard, paying careful attention to details. The finished product was much better than I hoped and Jim’s efficiency was hugely appreciated (I needed the work to be done quickly and he worked through the weekend to get everything done for when I needed it).
