We had Roseeood out a few years ago 2 rooms done in one day. Poor quality! Now redecorating the room they sound proofed took skirting board off to find they just put it on top of a carpet and left up to a cm gap with nothing to stop the noise. No acoustic sealant in that area and doubtful it’s anywhere else. Wondering why we could still hear so much despite the supposed soundproofing, this is why. Even I know it shouldn’t sit on top of a carpet! We only realised after we had another soundproofing company come out to do another room who are far superior. We asked them to check the room Rosewood did and they couldn’t see any sealant around their work. The redecorating work proves the poor quality they did. Quick ineffective and costly job on our part. We doubted the quality at the time and this confirms it. I certainly do not recommend this company.Moreexpand_more

Roy came over to look at our garden cabin and to tell us what we needed to do to soundproof it. He advised us on exactly what materials were needed, where we could get them, the specifications, and how it all comes together. He was very helpful and explained everything in a way that the layman can understand. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a sound proof drum room for my daughter to play her acoustic drum kit, We contacted Roy through a recommendation from someone else and were very impressed. Roy provided lots of valuable advice and came up with solutions of what we could do, we ended up having the room built in our garage and could not be happier with the result both Roy and Mick did not stop until it was perfect and and went way beyond the call of duty and were kept informed at every step of the job, We were even given extra sound proof panels at no extra cost. We are delighted and highly recommend them and wish them well for their future business and will have no hesitation in contacting them again should we have any other projects. Thanks again :).

This is a bit of an unusual one as Roy didn't do any direct work for me. What he did do is provide a bunch of valuable, free advice and point me in the direction of some local companies (he's in Scotland and i'm in London) he knows who can help me out. It's rare you get anything of worth free these days and it's much appreciated. Top bloke!

I can’t fault a single thing, from the first contact until completion of work communication was excellent. I contacted 3 companies for quotes and Roy’s was cheapest by over £1000! The work was done in a day and when I got home from work all rubbish had been removed and everything was tidy. There is a massive difference in that I no longer hear my neighbours talking and I can’t hear their pool balls rattling! Well worth the money. I would highly recommend Roy to anybody. Definitely 5* service and work.

We had Roy soundproof our ceiling in the small bedroom to see if it would be a way to help reduce the amount of noise we get from the flat above us. It was an experiment really and an option which if worked meant we wouldn't have to move home. Roy told me I should see an 80% improvement and he was right. It is very much 80% - 90% better. We have decided to carry out the same in the big bedroom, Livingroom and even the kitchen (because I spend a lot of time in it, and so do the people above). At a nice 10% discount as a returning customer what's not to like. Roy is an experienced and honest guy.

We had an issue with sound escaping from our rehearsal studio's rooms into the rest of the property. Roy fitted an isolation box around the door frames that completely resolved the issue. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Rosewood for any soundproofing work.

We’re having trouble with the impact noise coming from our upstairs neighbours. We can’t hear them talk, can hear tv slightly but the footsteps are the biggest problem. Our neighbours were aware of it because we spoke to them about it on numerous occasions and they were happy to help even if it meant getting their floors lifted to get the sound proofing done. We researched local soundproofing companies and decided to go ahead with Rosewood Acoustics. When Roy came round he never even surveyed the flat, he just said that getting it done from the neighbours side would literally “kill it” I. E the noise. We were over the moon thinking he sounded very convincing and the reviews on here have been great too! So, we had neighbours hallway done first as it was the smallest area. After the work had been carried out, it seemed like it’d helped a little bit. It was hard to be 100% sure because we can hear their footsteps approaching from different rooms of their flat. We thought sound proofing another room would definitely make a massive difference. So we went ahead with their living room which is above one of our bedrooms that is affecting our shift worker’s sleeping pattern the worst. The work was carried out and we could tell the next day that it had made no difference whatsoever. We got in touch with Roy who came round and then did the survey that he should have done in the first place and found out we had a lot of flanking going on, I.E noise coming down the walls. Roy said he was going to find out about insulating the walls and then he could also lower our ceiling. We never heard from him for about 4 weeks until I messaged him. I just got the usual “I was waiting for you to message me” reply where our previous messages clearly stated he was going to be the one to get in touch. Anyway, he advised we’d have to get the wall flanking sorted ourselves but he could lower our ceilings for “a heavily discounted price” (another £800)! We paid that man nearly 3k for a job that made no difference and he wanted to charge us even more! This man must take us for idiots suggesting we pay him any more money just to be left with the job undone yet again! We’re now left with either having to move or pay someone else to get the job done properly. And yes we’ve never heard from Roy again. Realistically, we should be offered some money back for the job he did not deliver the result for!Also the slight tv noise we can hear from our neighbours that’s never been that much of an issue, well his shambolic work never even got rid of that!Avoid at all costs!Moreexpand_more

Just had some soundproofing work carried out by the company. Professional from start to finish, the job was explained in detail and took less than a day to do. The results are amazing, would highly recommend!

All aspects of the service were of a high standard. From initial contact to the speed of survey and quote. The work was carried out quickly efficiently and with no mess. I would highly recommend Rosewood for an honest service an a very high standard.

Roy and colleagues provide an excellent, friendly, professional and, very importantly, honest service. The whole team are very grounded, knowledgeable and take pride in what they do. They treated our home with respect which is rare but very important. Roy's motto is 'there's no such thing as a problem, just that we need to find a solution' which is refreshing. Roy personally managed the whole project and takes pride in what he does. Good old fashioned values! Restored our faith in tradespeople. Would recommend without hesitation.

Our church hall needed sound resonance reduced and we found Rosewood. They were very helpful in identifying our need and in offering a solution at an attractive price. On site they were excellent and completed on time and to the cost agreed. All our users from that time on have commented on the excellent look of the hall and that the resonance problem was 'fixed'. I was struggling with a noisy neighbour right next to my bedroom and starting to think that I was going to have to commit murder or at least place a powerful hex on her. Luckily Roy and his incredibly professional team came to the rescue! Less than a week later I am sleeping like a baby and haven't heard a thing from her since. Highly, highly recommended!

We were having a problem in our bedroom with noise coming through an adjoining wall from the flat next door. Roy provided a very quick survey and quote and was clear on the options going forwards. He was able to answer all questions that visit. The work was completed a couple weeks later, including the plastering and decorating by a contact Roy recommended – one day to install the wall, plastering the next day and then a few days drying time before the decorating was completed. Everything was done to a high standard, was very tidy, and happened very quickly. The end result is a room that’s a few inches narrower, but otherwise looks identical. We haven’t heard a peep through the wall so far and we’re just left thinking why didn’t we get it done sooner?

The recently refurbished church hall at Dalmeny had acquired a high level of echo and reverberation and Rosewood Acoustics were recommended to fix the problem. Roy provided an immediate quotation on site, confirmed by email (significantly lower than other estimates). The 18 panels were fitted in two hours in a very professional manner leaving the hall clean and tidy. The significant improvement in the hall acoustics has been noted and welcomed by all the hall users. Happy to recommend.

I contacted Roy as I had been trying to get the accoustic tiles in our hall replaced and was having difficulty finding a firm that would come to the west coast of Scotland -Inverinate. Roy agreed to a site visit resulting in proffessional advice , costs etc on the best solution. I had contacted Roy a year ago to help us with loud tv noise from the neighbouring wall in our living room. From the outset he made us feel comfortable with the works to be done through his vast knowledge and expertise. One year on and we were ready to go ahead with the works. Roy and Mike arrived on site on time as promised and had the wall up within the day. The quality and passion for perfection Roy had in his work impressed us to the extent of asking him to do all of the living room walls and soundproof the ceiling. All o which made a remarkable difference acoustic and thermal insulation. However we still had an issue with one part of the neighbouring wall where there tv was situated at the other side and with myself being maybe oversensitive to the slight muffle of noise that was still present I called Roy again and he went above and beyond in helping me achieve near silence with extending the wall further with more proofing and due to the build of the house Roy and his team have done a great job and myself and family cannot thank you enough for not only the work done but improving the quality of life in our home and we will certainly be using them in the near future for other projects around the house definitely recommend rosewood acoustics very highly.

I contacted Roy as I live in a block of 4 and due to the age of the flat could hear noise from downstairs. Great communication throughout and quick response to emails. I knew exactly what was happening and when. Roy was honest and upfront about the job and even when there was a change to the original job he was completely honest and gave me the option to put the job on hold before progressing. A very honest act from a true professional. The job was changed and I’ve had plastic coating and an acoustic floor fitted and already I can feel the difference. We live in a four-in-a-block style house on the ground floor. I contacted Rosewood Acoustics to find out if they could help with noise from neighbours above. Roy did an inital visit and we had a discussion about what was possible by lowering the ceiling i. E. This could help with issues such as loud voices, TV, chidren crying/screaming. We went ahead and got the living room ceiling lowered this made a really significant difference, so much so we decided to sound proof the hall ceiling and one bedrom celing. The work has also helped with some of the impact noice we were experiencing including children running overhead and fitted wardrobes opening and closing early in the morning etc. Major difference. Roy and the team were very helpful all round, did what they said they would do and more and the plasterer was also excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Rosewood Acoustics.
