After downsizing and moving into a 2 bedroom 1950's bungalow in Rhiwbina, Cardiff in December 2021, (this was. In the heart of the Covid 19 pandemic), we listed a number of improvements which had to be made. These included a sizeable extension of the dining room by, replacing a small, plastic conservatory together with the fitting of a a new kitchen, new flooring and several safety items such as a concrete access ramp to the front door. We asked a few local builders for tenders but because of the pandemic and consequential material shortages, prices were rising and quotes were mostly full of contingencies and unacceptably high. Eventually, Our architect put us In touch with Jon Sainsbury who is now the Operations Manager of Rise Construction Cardiff Ltd. A fair and reasonable quote and timetable was offered, and work on the project began in January 2022. . Throughout the project we had a a warm and friendly working relationship with all the employees involved who worked hard and fast despite the Winter weather. . The work schedule and delivery of parts and materials was well organized with no significant delays, so that the extension, the main addition, was completed within 8 weeks. Much care was given to keeping us warm when old prefabricated wall panels were removed and replaced with well insulated brick structures. We are very pleased with the result and good workmanship which has been admired by a number of visitors including our architect. Our new kitchen and flooring has also been admired, and we are so pleased with the results that we are happy to recommend a 5 star review for good value, service and quality.(Amended by original reviewer, Michael David Cross.) 04/07/2022.Moreexpand_more
