With many years experience as a Counsellor, Sam Horrocks provides counselling, psychotherapy and emotional support to individuals over 18. Sam is an integrative Counsellor employing various models of counselling including CBT into her practice. During the warmer months of the year Sam offers Walk and Talk therapy outdoors in the local area. She provides help and support for various issues including loss, bereavement, depression, anger, anxiety, relationships and more. The service is in Fareham, situated in a quiet, discreet location just off jnt 9 of the M27. Both long and short term counselling is available depending on the clients needs. Weekly and fortnightly agreements are possible, as well as flexible appointments, incorporating evenings where possible.

The service provides clients with professional counselling and operates from a very private location offering complete discretion. As an integrative counsellor working from a person centred perspective, the belief is that the client has the answers to their issues somewhere within them and the counsellors role is to provide the right environment for personal discovery.

Experience gained over the years includes GP surgery, domestic abuse, rape crisis, leaving care team for social services and much more.
Formal qualifications are:-
Diploma in counselling.
Certificate in counselling skills supporting children and young people through grief and loss.
CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) with heart.
LINK Adoption Training.

Other relevant courses and training include; understanding and intervening in suicide, domestic violence and the impact on the child, recognising and responding to domestic violence, how to lift low self esteem, drugs and alcohol awareness, working with aspergers, to name but a few.
