The existing kitchen was a dated white shaker unit with dark laminate worktops and grey floor tiles. R3 stripped it back and fitted a full replacement.

New cabinetry in sage green and warm stone grey, brass bar handles, marble-effect quartz worktop and a matching full-height splashback. The washing machine went under the counter with a fitted surround. A peninsula was added to the layout with the same quartz surface and a painted base panel. Under-cabinet LED lighting runs throughout.

Hardwood oak flooring was laid at the same time, through the kitchen and into the utility room.

The utility room got matching cabinetry on both sides, two integrated appliances, tall larder housing and quartz worktops to match.
