Bob and Dan came to knock through a kitchen wall. Bob was great at keeping us informed thought the process and they clearly worked hard to get the job done. The work was carried out to a high standard and we've since had other trades in who have commented on the quality of the work. I'd definitely recommend them and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

I had Bob and Dan construct a rear kitchen extension. All work was to a very high standard and they always kept me updated with the progress and any key decisions. You can really tell they have been doing this for a long time and always make sure the customer is the most important person. Would always use again for any work.

We had Bob in to construct a kitchen extension, He done a great job of blending in new to old on our Edwardian house. We have had Him back twice for roofing work involving a velux window and coping stone, I would recommend Him for building work.

Well recommended, the guys dismantled a glass roof conservatory and rebuilt a small extension and shower room. Very happy with the results and all elements of workmanship. Also friendly and punctual.

Called him in to fix a roof water ingress problem and he made the issue worse so had to call in another person to carry out the repair properly.

With his positive approach to problem solving, Bob project managed all aspects of our recent works which included a new roof, installing a new Velux roof window, rebuilding an internal wall, external painting, reconfiguring a very small bathroom and imaginatively reworking uneven front steps. Bob delivered exactly to the agreed work schedule and costings. Bob managed all the detailed elements of the project, including scaffolding, skip delivery and rubbish clearance and co-ordinated the work of the plasterer and the plumber. Dan undertook his own wide range of jobs with the same professional approach and went out of his way to help in many other ways. We're looking forward to working with Bob and Dan on a future conservatory project.

Bob and his son Dan rebuilt and extended our large patio which was completed to a high standard. He was consistently friendly and reliable. He is clearly a very experienced and knowledgeable builder and I am pleased to be able to highly recommend him.

Bob carried out some work for us last summer; removal of a wall between our dining room and kitchen. He was skilled, efficient, careful and a pleasure to have on site. He stuck to a reasonable budget and also recommended an excellent plumber and electrician who we used on our kitchen installation. Had a front boundary wall built by Bob and son Dan at a very competitive price pleased with the workmanship friendly and reliable we would be happy to use their services again in the future.

He constructed a major extension for us - several rooms - roofs at complex inclines etc. His work is all done to a high standard and very professional Bob is easy to communicate with and great to have on site - and trustworthy and honest. Rob recently completed structural work to my kitchen including inserting a large RSJ. He was really helpful throughout, advising me on what was going to be feasible, what would be required and working with my plans as they changed. All work was carried out professionally and to a high standard, with all rubbish being removed. I have no hesitation in recommending Rob and would definitely use him for any future projects.

Bob did several jobs for me over a period of about 7 - 8 months which included: building a retaining wall in our sloping Bishopston garden; rebuild outside steps; medium to large patio area in our back garden; rebuilding a dividing wall and front garden block paved. In 2007 Mr Lord did a knock-through of a very solid structural wall to enlarge a kitchen at a property I let in Montpelier. I recall that the whole job went very smoothly and was costed at a reasonable rate. He thoughtfully took photos of the lintel work in progress in case the council surveyor later asked to see what had been done. 5 years later I have asked him if he might still have his copy of the original invoice, for capital gains tax reasons, and he is able to produce a copy for me. Very efficient and highly recommended.

Bob did a variety of work for us over the last few months to an exceptional standard including the overhaul of our kitchen extension ,rebuilding walls, completing a new roof , lowering exterior ground levels, repaving and adding a new patio. He organised other trades and materials when needed we are very pleased with the results. Throughout we found Bob to be reliable, punctual, excellent value and extremely fair with all material costs. Bob knocked through the wall between our dining room and living room. He was finished within one week and stuck to his original quote. The plasterer he used finished the walls to a very high standard and he was also able to recommend a very efficient and good value plumber. Bob is the best builder we've ever had do any work for us and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone having any building work done.

Rob Lord carried out extensive work on the interior of our home this time last year and we are extremely happy with the results. Rob's experience shone through at every stage of our refurbishment and he was consistently thorough and professional. Work included installing lintels, exposing brick fireplaces, laying granite hearths, fitting french doors etc. We would highly recomend him to anyone looking for someone competent & reliable who can deliver on time and to a high standard. We will definitely be calling on Rob again.

Bob carried out two lots of work at our house earlier this year - firstly he fixed a leak on our roof, and secondly he did all the hard landscaping to our garden (built raised beds, garden path, shed base etc). He was very careful to make sure the roof was properly fixed, and the curved brick work in the garden is beautiful. Since the work was completed, we have had a lot of compliments about our transformed garden! We'll definitely be using him for any future work, and thoroughly recommend him.

Bob, Rebuilt a front garden wall, and was so quick, clean and efficient we had him back to build a new double garage, rear garden wall and a Patio. Excellent worlmanship and value.
