John suffered a stroke 5 years ago. As a result, he now has right sided weakness. Therefore, is essential for John to exercise in order to maintain mobility, gain strength and improve balance. Tom is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. John feels lucky to have found him. Tom listens and analyses Johns needs. He adapts the sessions to make the exercises personal. Every session is different and Tom pushes John to achieve, whilst always being conscious to keep him safe. Tom approaches each session with enthusiasm and this is motivational for John. Tom is the only PT to ever improve my back pain, he is extreamly knolegable on anatomy and really listens, he is worth every penny he charges, highly recommend to anyone with an injury that is struggling to fully recover. He is also very accomodating to helping out people with lower incomes in need of cheaper alternatives to traditional 1-1 training. I Would recommend to anyone wanting to get fit in a healthy, BUT VERY EFFECTIVE, safe way!
I was looking for a personal trainer who could be flexible with daytime hours as that's the only time I could train. I wanted to feel stronger and tone up. I tried a few, but Tom was by far the most knowledgeable and very flexible to suit my hours. His online sessions were perfect for in between our personal training sessions to do at home. So if ever I couldn't make it, I could still catch up on exercise. He wasn't just making me do the exercises, he also explained why we did them and what it was targeting. So I learned a lot. He also introduced me to new techniques, which I really enjoyed and after a bad experience with kettlebells in the past, he made me see the benefits of it and get the technique down. Now I actually enjoy it. The results I saw were very much around strength. I felt stronger and more agile with lots more energy. I would recommend Tom to anyone who is ready to take their exercise seriously and push themselves to a new level.Moreexpand_more
Loved training with Tom at ProTom fitness. He uses lots of different equipment to really use every part of your body when training so each session is a real complete body workout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this PT to anyone!
I wish to say a massive thank you to the personal trainer Tom Lagos and his team at The 4 Core Fitness® Team. Tom has trained me online with high professionalism and high-quality exercise. He made sure my physical positions and body aligned correctly, as many personal trainers do not teach you any of that like Tom did! I will be returning to Tom at The 4 Core Fitness® Team again to train my physique for my personal goals of gaining good Heath, good body posture, and an excellent mental state, which those exercises with Tom gave me! I was so happy to find it via the internet, and the training quality is word class top athletes! Thanks so much, Tom and all your team! ? I decided to book some 1-2-1 personal training sessions in with Dora and always felt amazing after! This was something out of my comfort zone however, Dora was so welcoming and friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. Dora had created a plan for each session, We started at a level I felt comfortable and worked on it each week. I also had access to the online training plan and recipes via the app/website. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to improve there level of fitness!
Tom and Dom have trained me in Muy Thai Kickboxing for a number of years. During that time and under their expert guidance and thanks to their enthusiasm and commitment I have built my knowledge and skills in this fantastic discipline. I have enjoyed every minute. Thanks guys! Simon.
I would highly recommend Tom… Couple of months ago, I used to train online with my Previous PT who was very good…. Suddenly, I developed severe pain in my left butts… Sadly, he had no clue for it… The pain left me in severe pain and I was not able to walk for 5 minutes, Stand or do any activity…. Thankfully, I found Tom by Luck and he started training me… He diagnosed me as having Piriformis Syndrome. I was so happy as he managed finally to find the cause and the pain started to disappear from First Session…. Tom has many things that I did not find with other PTs. He is so honest, Committed to his work, approachable, Helpful and Extremely lovely and Kind …. I really enjoyed training with him and he made a great difference with Me. Tom you care … Your availability anytime when I need you or when I text you. Amazing training with Tom lakos. Been working out with him for 6 months, never felt so strong and focused! He is a trainer who really cares about his client needs! My daughter and her friend are training with him to! One of the best trainers I have ever come across! All my work outs have been on line and it feels like tom is in the room with you! Thank you Tom and Dora! They have been excellent PTs and are highly recommended. Workouts have been enjoyable - varied and appropriately challenging with a strong focus on quality of movements. It is with regret that I have to stop training with them ? .
Had a good time there. Staff are amazing people, really helpful and understanding. They also go above and beyond to help deliver the best possible service they can. Furthermore they help you understand what you are doing wrong and will demonstrate what you need to do and also push you as hard as you can to help you develop and what you want to achieve.
Just completed a 3 month virtual 1-to-1 personal training course with Tom at 4 Core Fitness, 2 x 1hr sessions per week. I came to him asking for support and guidance in getting fitter, stronger and general fully body toning. I have had injuries in the past, especially my shoulder, and I've always struggled keeping weight on, so gave him a significant challenge. I was in a great deal of pain, and when I shopped about, Tom stood out as having a wealth of experience and his approach is unique. Compound exercises that have been really efficient on time and have helped my balance (even if I was not great at them to start with! ). The routines that we did were tailored to my needs and he adjusted as we went dynamically. Toms seems to know intuitively when to push you and when to hold back, even though they were virtual sessions. He has worked with the equipment I have at home and suggested a few extra bits to buy. It has really pushed me and I now feel fantastic, my mobility is better than ever and I've gained around 4-5kg of lean mass across my body, nothing wobbles anymore! :D Most importantly, I'm in considerably less pain and this is still improving - I never thought that this would be possible and it really has changed my life and my outlook. He has taught me a huge amount and communication has always been great, he looks after his clients and its obvious that he cares, on top of that, he's a great guy! Also, had a couple of sessions with Dom at 4 Core, who was great too. Looking at next steps now with Tom and would highly recommend anyone to check them out!Moreexpand_more
Tom (Lakos) personally trained me 1:1 during lockdown and I found his style of training different from anything I had ever done before. He transformed my movements correcting how I squat and lunge undoing incorrect movements I had developed over years of being part of large exercise groups. I can genuinely say I really looked forward to the sessions because he varied what we did every session, using equipment like the medicine ball in an outdoor setting. Tom is extremely patience and is a very dedicated personal trainer who is passionate about showing others how to keep fit in a safe, fun and sustainable way. .
I recently had a self defence class with Tom and I cannot recommended him enough! It was very well informed and I felt I learnt a lot. I also enjoyed the class so much. Thank you Tom :).
ProTom fitness was incredibly helpful in rehabbing and improving imbalances that I have in my leg muscles. ProTom pushes you very hard but it was always a positive experience, and Tom himself was good fun to be around. Would not recommend any other Fitness trainers in Bristol over ProTom.

Tom is absolutely superb and has great knowledge, which means he really can tailor a fitness programme that suits you individually. In my experience, most personal trainers do a 'one size fits all' approach, which is totally wrong because we have such varied body make up. I fully recommend Tom's services to anyone looking to lose weight or maintain body shape. Expect to pay a bit more if you want real results.
I absolutely loved each of my training sessions with Tom. He makes exercising fun and also interesting. He also explains what we are doing and why. I have learned a lot, not only about getting in shape, but also how the different muscles connect and work. Each session is an hour long, including warm-up and stretch. He is a true professional in his training and his approach to physical fitness.
I started training at ProTom fitness a few months ago and do a mix of the group sessions and personal training with Dom. I’ve really enjoyed learning a new style of kickboxing, especially learning to spar, which is done in a controlled environment which is great for building confidence. Dom is a really great trainer, he brings loads of enthusiasm and energy to all of his sessions which are the perfect balance of being fun but also challenging- I am pushed on every session so feel like I am constantly learning something new. The benefits have gone beyond learning a new skill - I have noticed an amazing improvement in my fitness and have lost nearly 4kg in the six weeks that I’ve been training with Dom. I have only positive things to say about my experience with ProTom fitness and look forward to continuing kickboxing with them!
