Poorly PCs

Fast and honest service. Expecting it to be a big job, it turns out that the bios just needed resetting and a new battery. Matt explained exactly why it happened and didn't drag out the work with hefty repairs. He did however clean out the years of dust and tie up some of the loose cables while he was in there. Its now cleaner, tidier and quieter than before and works quicker.

Thank you to Matt and Chris for repairing my laptop promptly. As I needed it for work, I was unable to be without it. Chris was able to visit and diagnose a swollen battery, which was affecting the speed and stopped the touchpad working. This was not what I was expecting and I was reassured that the laptop was not ready for the scrap heap yet. The laptop had a 'health-check' on the spot and his colleague Matt fitted a new battery a couple of days later. I am pleased to report that the laptop has returned to its former glory and I am able to carry on with work as normal. I had to initially wait about an hour for a call back because the staff were doing some tuition, but I had a friendly face with me later that day. Overall less than 2 hours downtime and the laptop remained onsite so I could carry on. Only 1 call-out charge and the cost of the battery. Matt responded to my voicemail quickly, and came round a few hours later. The problem turnsd out to be something simple but eluded me, I'd never have figured it out. Broken VPN connection. All up and running and sensible charge despite the rising cost of fuel. Professional and very understanding, explained it well too.

I was confronted by warning messages, errors and I couldn't get in to my bank account. The computer wouldn't start properly 9/10 times. Expecting the old tower to be a write-off I called Chris in for his pro opinion before I chucked it in the skip. 10 mins later it had a new battery (who knew) and the PC was working again. Honest advice and honest pricing for that visit.

I have always found Poorly PCs very helpful, and I particularly appreciate the personal touch. Matt refuses to call what he does 'IT support' as it's more like 'computer help for home users' as he puts it, he's always ready to help dummies like me. I like the fact that they are both local and there is a strong emphasis on customer service. They normally get to me within a day and on one occasion he was round the corner so was here in under 15 mins to click a couple of buttons.

Matt is always patient with me and never makes me feel silly. I recommend.

Note to Chris. Was looking for your phone number and found this site. Just to say my new computer has been running great since you set it up and much faster than the old one. The backup disks you did all worked fine. Thanks for being honest and telling me to junk the old one instead of wasting my pension on it. From the old dinosaur in Whitstable!

I would like to thank Mat for doing a good spruce up on my pc. He was very friendly and took time to explain everything he had done. He also had time to look at my daughters pc and put a little niggle right. In fairness he spent quite a bit of time here but still charged the price he had promised. Would recommend to all my friends and my staff at work. Have heard good things from other people about Poorly pcs and I can see why.
