They're really reasonable to deal with but please, please be aware of your contract at all times and keep a hard copy. I could have sworn my contract had a 12/14 year expiry date and when I discussed that I wanted to pull my book due to historical errors (that I have recenty become aware of) around the time I beleived my contract was up, I was told it will be a further £600. Fair enough. All my issues. But when I went to locate my contract again to double check the length of it, I discovered I could no longer find it. The company sent me a digital copy that contained no information regarding how long the contract would last as I remembered and I when I requested this information I was told I had a further 7 years left. So, either pay £600 or wait seven years to obtain my copyright again in order to fix the book which I've already re written. I did request a copy of my original contract that had my signature on (as the digital one does not) just so I could check I wasn't imaginening the life span of our agreement, but I was informed that it would cost me more and would take them too long to obtain said copy. So, I wouldn't say don't use them, they're great value for money but please just make certain you have some legal advice and a few pair of eyes on the contract as well as a copy of the hard copy. Mine was signed 14 years ago and verious moves have meant it is lost to time. I do wish I'd done more research in vanity press. But I was young. Ha! Also, my cover design was a bit naff and I wasn't really given great options. It's a historical novel and in the back ground, infront of the stately home you can just make out men in modern clothing drinking. Lol. So, if you use them… They are really friendly, great value for money so I'm not saying don't… Just learn from my mistakes and research vanity press. And make certain you know the length of your contract for certain. I'd actually love to know if other authors had a contract length too.Moreexpand_more
My First book was published by Pneuma Springs in 2011. Happy to say it is still selling - 4 years on! I was also approached by Pneuma Springs to be part of their Anthology Of Christmas Murders- Terror, Tinsel and Turkey, in which I and 9 other published crime writers each contributed a story- so was pleased to have been asked…I know that many of my ex Police buddies have purchased it, as well as a number of my friends too. SO all in all, I can NOT fault Pneuma Springs at all.
Pnuema Springs published my first book with care and enthusiasm. They were quick to respond to e mails and offered advice where needed. The finished product exceeded my expectations. I am now working on my second book and will certainly continue to work with them.
The work done on my novel by Pneuma Springs Publishing UK was, even though I reside in Australia, carried out by email with a warmth and interest as if I lived in the office of the publishing manager. My one criticism is that the editorial staff let through a few minor grammatical errors.
This was my first book that I have had published and I have had a very positive experience with your company. Whenever I required help or clarifcation on a matter there was a prompt response. The staff went out of their way to ensure that I was happy with the final product even in terms of the release date having to be put back. I was given ideas and suggestions of how best to promote my book. Pneuma Springs have helped to promote the book also. I was more than happy with the overall product. It was attractive and professional. I would definately recommend you to up and coming authors and work with you again myself.
Pneuma Springs helped me get my book into print and I found them polite and responsive. They have got my novel listed with the major online sellers although I have to do my own marketing which I am working on with a website along with other plans. I have another book ready now, ADAM'S BURDEN (a supernatural trilogy), and another, THE LAST MILLENNIUM (a time travel mystery), expected in the middle of 2010. I would be happy to use Pneuma Springs again.
PneumaSprings have published six books of mine, with another to come, and I cannot compliment the company too highly on their level of service, inc. Efficiency, patience, attention to detail, respect for the author's point of view, marketing advice and the quality of the published books.
Pneuma Springs promises a quality package and a straight-forward, no nonsense contract. This has been correct for me in all aspects from a company who really do support their authors. Pneuma Springs Publishing is a breath of fresh air in an industry steeped in dusty Dickensian delay and procrastination. I had the confidence in my novel but could not justify the heavy cost of self publishing and promotion. Pneuma Springs made it all so easy and would be a great help for any aspiring author.
Pneuma Springs provide a quality service. For me, they kept to their word on all aspects of the publication process, from editing, type-setting, cover design, ISBN allocation, right through to on-time delivery of the product. The PS team did a first-class job for my debut crime thriller. Their replies to my queries were always courteous, helpful and speedy. They are indeed passionate and caring about their authors.
Pneuma Springs are an exceptional publishing house. I have had 3 books published through them and I am very pleased with the high standard they provide and the exceptional editorial, customer service and the standard of the books they deliver. They are there to help and advise even though they are very busy. I cannot speak more highly of them. They are everything I needed to get my books into the public eye and I am indebted to them for their support. Grahame Howard.
