Adam was recommended through Planning Aid. He advised and represented 33 residents in an objection to a planning proposal on a Grade II listed buidling by the ground landlord. He helped us understand the differences between planning and building regulations and to adopt a more effective approach for our presentation to the Planning Committee. He collated and presented our case in a concise and persuasive manner with the result that the application was rejected unanimously. If the developer should appeal we wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend Adam's services again.

We were stuck. Having put in what seemed to be a reasonable planning application to find it turned down. We so needed a garden room in the garden for our one bedroom maisonette for storage and leisure purposes. Our builder recommended and generously engaged Adam Wilkinson to help modify and submit a reduced size build to our specification. Adam was invaluable in helping us through the minefield of regulations which surround planning laws. These are set by central Government, then interpreted locally by local council planners. We were able to talk to Adam and text him with our concerns and requirements, and he replied to all of these promptly. He was in touch with the planning officer to ensure everything was in order as well. Our neighbour's objected to the first build, and also to the revised plans submitted by Adam. The actual grounds they objected to are highlighted as invalid in the information section of the grant document which is very useful. We chose to use Adam following a disagreement with another Planning Consultant who we had appointed to secure planning permission and Listed Building Consent for a property in Cambridge. Negotiations between the Council and the previous Consultant had broken down completely and progress was at a complete stand still. Adam was able to repair the relationship with the Planning Department, Conservation Officer and also local neighbours who had originally objected to the proposals, and both Planning and Listed Building Consent were duly granted. This was a complex issue requiring a number of different Conservation and Heritage issues to be addressed, which we neither had the time or patience to deal with. Adam was able to use his contacts and diplomacy to resolve these matters to both our own and the Councils satisfaction and we are very grateful for his expert and affordable assistance.

Two of the applications had previously failed for different reasons and Adam resolved each issue in a reasonable timescale.
