Pirate Pete / Mr Giggles Children's Party Entertainer

We booked Pirate Pete for our son's 4th birthday party. We had seen one of Pirate Pete's shows previously and had been really impressed by his ability to engage the kids. Our two boys had talked about him for days after first seeing him perform so when it came to booking our son's party he was our first choice. As the other reviewers have said, we were immediately impressed with Pirate Pete from our first telephone call with him to enquire about making a booking. He talked passionately about his craft and took a lot of time to learn about our son and his personality so he could tailor his entertainment accordingly. He even asked to have a chat with our son on the telephone - which made our son's day! In the days running up to the party we were in contact with Pirate Pete by phone and email - he was meticulous with his planning and we felt reassured that everything was in hand. On the day of the party Pirate Pete arrived really early and from the moment he stepped foot in the building he was entertaining our boys and making the birthday boy feel special. His show was built around our son which was lovely, though he was very inclusive of all the kids in the audience. The audience of kids aged between two and nine absolutely loved him and he entertained them for two hours with his magic, jokes and games. He has a lovely, calm manner with the kids and even made an extra effort during the food break to speak with the kids he had noticed were shy during the first half of his show so they would feel more comfortable. Each kid got a balloon sword and treasure map to take home and our son got a birthday gift. We have had Pirate Pete/ Caribbean Joe visit our nursery every year for the past 6/7 years. We book him every year as we are guaranteed a wonderful show which we know the children will just love. He keeps the children entertained for a full hour with lots of squeals and laughter from the children. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a super entertainer.

I booked Pirate Pete for my son's 6th birthday party after he especially requested him months beforehand! The initial conversation I had with Gordon (aka: Pirate Pete! ) absolutely convinced me that he would make my son's party a special experience - he was warm and enthusiastic and his vast experience in the field shone through as he described his act in detail. He also made excellent suggestions that I had not considered, such as a real ship for the venue, such a brainwave, and it helped me pull the theme together for the smaller details of the party. Everything Gordon promised he delivered on the day and I feel almost guilty taking the compliments for a sensational party when it took no effort on my part! Gordon had the young audience mesmerized for the whole 2 hours! He very calmly, cannily and gently managed excitable behaviour and his transitions from magic tricks to dancing games to food breaks and back again were handled seamlessly. I have never organized a children's party before but Gordon made it so easy to deliver a wonderful experience that I bet my son and all his friends will remember and talk about for a long time to come! Many of the other parents as well as my own mother, who is 80, a retired teacher and an excellent judge of good quality, traditional entertainment were extremely impressed!I have a daughter who is 2 years younger and I will give her a party when she is in P1 as I have just done for my son. I already know that Gordon will be the first person I call when that time comes. He has set such a high standard and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my child's first big party!On a final note, I feel Gordon's sincerity in his commitment to his clients is a rare and priceless thing. After the party, Gordon did not pack up and rush off, but stayed to chat and entertain myself and my family for a wee while longer even after the guests were long gone. His genuine enthusiasm for the work he does and the people he meets is his ultimate asset. He really takes pride in making little people's dreams come true and my slightly shy little boy felt a hundred feet tall for those 2 hours, thanks to Gordon. I cannot recommend him highly enough. We booked Pirate Pete for our daughters 6th birthday party for 2 hours. Amazing is just one superlative I’d use to describe the experience. The initial call to enquire about him left me in no doubt about the kind of event we’d have. He went into every detail about his show and what we could expect. He also provided really sound advice drawing on his own vaste experience. He asked in detail about our wee girl and built his entire show around her. From the things she loves to asking about her friends and family. Onto her party and we don’t know what to say really. Too many superlatives to choose from. Amazing brilliant entertaining just a few to describe Saturday. The adults and children alike loved it. We had so little to do as parents such was the way the kids were engrossed in the act it meant we could enjoy our daughter enjoying the event which creates memories not just for our little one but us as her parents too. Where he gets your energy from I’ll never know too. The biggest thing for my wife and I which made our day before it even begun was the way he immediately engaged with and entertained our girl before he’d even set up; his gear hadn’t even left his car but there he was doing tricks and making her giggle outside the hall. That engagement before a ball had been kicked so to speak spoke volumes to us and again started the day perfectly which continued throughout. Making her the centre of attention rather than doing a show was amazing and she loved it start to finish. We’re still talking about it today. We booked Pirate Pete for my son’s 5th birthday Party. The children and adults were mesmerised from start to finish. My son laughed through out the whole two hours. With thanks to Pirate Pete my son had a magical and memorable birthday party. I highly recommend him and will most definitely be booking him again.

I had been so nervous about hosting a party for 47 children for 2 hours but I needn't have worried because you took full control of the party with prizes, dancing, birthday singing and even a conga to the food table! Amazing! I will certainly not hesitate to recommend you to anyone who is looking for a children's entertainer in the future.

Gordon was excess usual at encouraging a very shy boy to participate and really enjoy himself at his Christening Party. Would highly recommend as he gets everyone involved and makes you feel at ease.

Had pirate pete for my little girls 5th birthday I would give 100stars if I could was absolutely fabulous best child entertainer by a mile. Had all the children in the palm of his hands for 2 hours and adults aswell. If your looking for a child entertainer then pirate pete is hands down the best trust me. Definately going to hire him again.

Our children were aged 3 and 4. We also had a neighbouring nursery join us. The children all found the magic funny and captivating. Pirate Pete was able to judge which children would have the confidence and be willing to come up and help. The majority of the children loved the talking Santa, which was very cleverly done on a white board. Our show lasted an hour, which is ample for children of that age, however, I would suggest a little more dancing next time. We would definitely use Mr Giggles again.

I’ve had Mr Giggles/Pirate Pete at a few birthdays and had him at my daughters Christening yesterday. Can not recommend Gordon highly enough sooo professional, funny, thoughtful and all the kids and adults were highly entertained. Will happily hire him for any other functions we have in the future. This was our second time using Mr giggles and it won't be the last. My daughter poppy has a ball and her friends likewise even the adults have a good chuckle. The 2 hrs go smoothly and fast with the children constantly amused throughout. Would highly reccommend Mr giggles to all.

Gordon worked extremely hard keeping all the little ones entertained for two hours. The kids and adults had a great time and I would definitely recommend him for any upcoming events.

Pirate pete has just entertained at our sons 6th birthday on board the tall ship… his feedback - "i love that guy! ". He had an absolute ball as did all his friends. With a full class of primary ones plus quitr a few other kids I was in awe of how Gordon managed to keep their attention for the full 2 hrs - absolute genius! The kids were highly entertained - up for all the games and full of laughs. A great memory for our wee guy and sure took the pressure off me as Gordon had the kids in the palm of his hands. I would definitely recommend.

Pirate Pete entertained my daughter and her friends at her 4th birthday party recently and he was fabulous from start to finish. Zero stress and maximum entertainment for the kids. They had a ball. Strongly recommend him! :) the parents enjoyed it too.

Gordon/Pirate Pete was fabolous. From my first chat with Gordon to meeting him as Pirate Pete. My little girl had her 4th birthday and had an amazing day as did all her friends. Gordon entertained at my sons 5th birthday party recently and he was fabulous, all of the kids were mesmerised by the show and loved Pirate Pete! My son had a brilliant time and felt very special. I would highly recommend him for any celebration where kids need to be kept amused.

We hired Pirate Pete to entertain my son and his friends for his 3rd birthday party. The entertainment was excellent and it was clear that Gordon (pirate Pete) really cared about the children and wanted to ensure they all had a great time. The kids loved every second of the party and have all been pretending to be pirate pete ever since. If your looking for a great entertainer for children look no further.

My 5 year old son and his friends had so much fun with the show Mr Giggles put on. He captured all their attention and made us all laugh including the adults. I liked how he got all children involved as little helpers and my son definitely enjoyed that part. I would highly recommend and would hire again for any future part.

Wizzy wizard managed the whole party for my full on 4 year old and his rowdy friends from beginning to end. He captured their interest and the adults too, even my skinflint mate said he was well worth the money! He was funny, relaxed and an absolute professional and he could certainly manage the kids without losing his cool, he held the whole thing together and really provided a show which lasted the full party time.
