Completely unreliable. My boiler was not working so I phoned them and they said they could come 12 - 5 that day. Called them just after 1pm to see if I could get a better idea of time and they didn't call back as promised. Rang again for an update half an hour later and again no call back until another half an hour later, when they said their engineer was running late and they couldn't come until the following afternoon. And this was for a repair to a boiler they had serviced only a few weeks before. Avoid them.
Absolutely useless service. Please do NOT use these guys. Engineer visited three times to fix a single problem on our heating system and charged me £550 pounds for a work which is only cost me £90 pounds to fix at the end by a simple plumber. Very rude customer service.
Their pest control was useless. The guy from Bromley council who came (to pick up the pieces) said he'd never seen anything so amateur: naked poison put down where our aged dog found it and was poisoned by it. Don't touch this company with a bargepole--at least with pest control.
I wouldn't recommend this Company to anyone. They came out twice to my property - didn't fix the problem of my cold shower and tried to charge more to come round the 3rd time. The first time they sent out someone who had started working for the company the day before, spent the whole time on his phone asking the opinion of a more experienced colleague, wasn't gas certified and did NOTHING and I was charged £96! Over £100 charge for the second call out. I challenged head office and they were rude and unsympathetic and wouldn't offer me the refund of the first visit. I think it is inexcusable. I have since had the problem sorted in one visit by another plumber, who I have used 3 times since on other problems.
Dealing with something such as pipe leak can be very intimidating. The service provided by PGS help make this stress free. The receptionist was very attentive, she listened asked probing questions and then communicated to me the services offered by PGS. The technician was on time and was quick to assess the problem and present me with options on possible solutions. He kept me updated of developments and communicated to me what he was doing to try and solve the problem. I would highly recommend this company for its very professional and stress free service.
I had a problem with my cooker and was recommended PGS by a friend. They arranged an appointment and emailed me to confirm the details, then called to let me know when the electrician was on his way. He sorted the problem quickly and efficiently, explained everything to me and was extremely polite and professional.
Got a job that needs doing? Have an appliance that needs servicing? Got something that needs repairing? PGS should be your first stop! From dealing with wasps nests to installing a new boiler, I have used PGS as my solution. The customer services department cannot do enough to make your enquiry, quote or job an easy task to arrange. If they say they will call, email or text then they will, if they say an service engineer or colleague will contact you then they will. My family life is hectic and time poor, so what I need is a company that keeps its promises and does what it says it will do, when I want it to happen! I use PGS services to do my gas safety certificate in my rental flat in London. When I rang round for quotes last year, they were the cheapest I could find. They were also very professional and proved to be reliable, both with the visit and then emailing me all the necessary paperwork afterwards. I had no hesitation in using their services again this year.
We needed a new boiler installed and PGS came round at our earliest convenience and were incredibly helpful. Giving us a number of options and stating which ones were not appropriate and quoting for more than one option. On the day of the install the team arrived promptly and ensured the flat was kept as clean as possibly with sheets put down - not that we had to worry as they cleaned up after themselves also! Boiler was fitted well and shown how to use it - hopefully won't have to use them in the interim until it is time to service it!
I had a pest problem at the property I rent out in London so I firstly called Rentokil and had zero joy from them. I then went searching frenziedly for an alternative and found PGS Services. Phoned them up and found their response quick and economical and would DEFINITELY use them again in the future. But hopefully not too soon!
I had never called a plumber privately before as I'd been a council tenant previously. Therefore I was concerned about arranging for a plumber without a recommendation from a friend. I needn't have worried. PGS were professional (appointment time suited to my needs) a call the evening before to confirm their arrival time and excellent email updates. The work itself was carried out by John who was polite, well organised and got straight down to the job at hand. The work was carried out in a timely manner and I was pleased with the end result. I would recommend their services.
I have been using PGS Services for over 2 years now and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have installed a new boiler (a complicated installation requiring scaffolding and removing tiles), done all my gas safety checks and have serviced my boiler. Their customer service is excellent making them so easy to deal with and their professionalism is remarkable. It is very rare these days to deal with such a courteous and accommodating company. I strongly recommend PGS Services and hope that their standards continue to be set at these high levels.
Plumbing work needed to fix faulty shower pump and unblock kitchen sink in rental flat. Added difficulty that I was out of the country, which meant relying on PGS to do what they said they would do without me being there. Needn't have worried - was pleased with their work and they did what they said they would do and to the timing they agreed. Would recommed and use them again.
I needed a plumber at very short notice having been told by the British Gas HomeCare subcontractors that changing a tap wasnt covered by the home care plan and would incur extra costs. As I had two taps to change and the quote was around £75 a tap I thought I'd look elsewhere. PGS services agreed to the job on the same day and quoted me £85 an hour plus Vat but assured me the job would be done in an hour. I had ordered my own tap - a Grohe with a pull out spout. This extra complication took over 3 hours to fit and left me with a bill for £314. The outside garden tap suffered from low pressure which turned out to be a valve that needed opening and nothing more. To his credit the plumber was honest with me and could have made more work for himself. Whilst Im happy the job was done well the price as it turned out was not proportional to the work undertaken. I paid over £300 to have a tap fitted and a valve turned. Having inspected the work since I'm unconvinced a season proffesional could take over 3 hours to fit one tap. Given the cost I find it hard to recommend the service to anyone. I would have been better off paying BG £150 I would have had the second tap changed for this price.Moreexpand_more
