After booking a short break, we then faced the trauma of finding someone to look after our Lilac (Lil. ) As we hadn't left her before, we were a bit worried about leaving her and keen to find the exact right person. We decided to use Petstay as we'd heard good reviews. We were put in contact with Maggie. On meeting Maggie, it was clear that she is a real dog lover, and really happy to let Lil become part of her family for a few days. She put us at complete ease. She asked Lil's likes and dislikes, her routine and where she likes to sleep. We were a little concerned about this, as we allow Lil on our bed at night, and we thought perhaps this wouldn't be acceptable to Maggie. No such thing. She said her bed is a bit high, but she has a set of steps, that Lil could use to climb up! After the initial meeting, it was quite a few months before we were due to go on holiday, so we asked if we could meet Maggie again just to make sure Lil hadn't forgot her. Maggie was more than happy with this. She wanted to do everything to make us feel at ease. While we were away, Maggie sent daily updates, with photos. It was clear that Lil was absolutely fine, in fact she was having the time of her life, being completely spoilt. As Maggie said, it's Lil's holiday too! On our return, it was lovely to see Lil so relaxed, and treating Maggie's home as her own. Maggie is a really lovely lady and we definitely would be happy to leave Lil with her again.Moreexpand_more

What can I say about Margaret and Paul, except they are fantastic! Bayley goes to see them 3 or 4 times a year and I know that he will be looked after as if he was their own. He gets spoilt rotten with fabulous walks and loads of playtime. They send photos and updates everyday which is so reassuring. A huge thank you.

I have just collected my Jackapoo Bobby from Sallie the pet sitter. I cannot recommend her enough my little boy had a marvelous time staying with Sallie I received some lovely photos of his walks and his days in her care. With Bobby being so well looked after I could enjoy my break and did not worry about him knowing he was in a loving environment. I cannot recommend Sallie and PetStay enough I shall be using them in the future and recommending them to all my friends.

We were worried about leaving Teddy for 9 days whilst we were going on our hols, but Isabella was great and loved having our pooch stay. Thank you so much and we will be coming to you again.

When we visited Susan and Brian prior to our holiday, we knew they were perfect for our wee Gracie. She was with them for 10 days, and going by the pictures they kindly sent us, Gracie was a very happy, relaxed girl. We very much appreciate the care and attention she was given. We will definitely be looking for Susan and Brian's services in the future.

Our 9 month old little girl was looked after by Suzanne, she is still mischievous but Suzanne took this all in her stride. Perfect home to home care.

A wonderful lady looked after our very anxious Pomeranian. Mary is a beautiful lady who clearly has lots of patience and truly cares for the animals in her care. Pet stay went above and beyond to accommodate us as it was all last minute. Would truly recommend.

We used PetStay twice in the space of a few weeks. Tracey matched our dog Woody with a lovely lady, who Woody loved. I'd definitely recommend PetStay to dog owners.

This is the first time we had left our rescue dog Millie. Tracey at Petstay matched us with Christine and her family in Harrogate. I can't praise them highly enough. Christine made sure Millie was familiar with her and her family before we left her for the weekend. Millie was so relaxed when we left her that she ran up to Christine with her tail wagging and very happy to see her. She kept us up to date with photos of Millie and what she was doing. I thoroughly recommend the Petstay service and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Tracey at Petstay matched iur fog George with a couple who really suited his needs and so obviously loved having him. This gave me the confidence to leave him knowing he was getting all the care and attention he needed. Isabel sent a picture of him by the fire and he looks very content!

We returned from a weekend away to collect our dog Milo. We must say how happy we are that Alison and Roger have looked after Milo and it felt like it was home from home for him. A delightful couple and would not hesitate to leave Milo with them again. Thank you .

Very highly recommended. We booked through Tracy who found the perfect couple for our 2 spaniels, Oscar and Paddy. Dawn was fantastic and kept us informed with lots of lovely photos. We have already booked again.

Petstay was a fantastic service and provided the best home boarders for our puppy Maverick! It was the first time leaving him and was only for a little weekend away but we felt 100% confident and relaxed leaving him with Claire and Tony. They put us at ease after our first meeting with them with how knowledgeable and caring there are! We knew Maverick would be in safe hands. They sent us pictures on walks and kept us updated meaning we could enjoy our time away without worrying. When we collected him he was excited to see us but seemed content and at home. We will 100% use Petstay again and would love to use Claire and Tony again too as we know Maverick had a great time with them! Thank you!

Many thanks to Tatiana and husband Mike for the love and care Clemmie received while we were away. She was treated as a member of their family, while we were able to visit family in Australia for 4 weeks. We would not have been able to travel without the knowledge that she would be cared for and loved unconditionally. We would definitely use Tatiana again if required. Neil and Sue.

We were so full of anxiety at the thought of leaving Poppy with someone other than family when we were booking our holiday. We contacted pet stay and told them our requirements still not sure about things. We were put in touch with a lady Called Caroline with whom we arranged a visit along with Poppy. Poppy instantly took to Caroline and Caroline to Poppy. We went away knowing she was in safe hands. Caroline sent lots and lots of pictures whilst we were away which was comforting to know that Poppy’s doggy holiday was going as well as ours. I just want to say a big THANK YOU to pet stay and especially to Caroline your amazing.

We were really struggling to get somewhere suitable for our dog Benny to stay. He hates kennels. Tracy managed to match us with a lovely couple in our area who took wonderful care of our family dog whilst we were away. I was reassured to know he was in safe caring hands. They really did look after him as their own. Thank you Isabella.

Petstay is a fantastic service, contact with Tracey was quick and the process is thorough, you feel they really care about your pet having a stay that reflects their normal routine as much as possible. Dawn was very welcoming and again asked lots of questions to really understand our dogs likes/dislikes. Would recommend to anyone in the york area and definitely use their service again.

Our first time we have used PetStay. Kathy was friendly and knowledgeable. She was keen to know about Rollo so she could make him feel settled. Good communication. All ready booked in for his next stay.

This is now the third time that we have used Pet Stay and yet again the service provided is second to none. We left Bo in the more than capable hands of Rebecca and Cheryl and he had a ball, in fact I don’t think he wanted to come home . The care and compassion showed to our Boy was as though he was already part of both Rebeccas and Cheryl’s family, I can’t fault any part of this service at all and would more than highly recommend Pet Stay.
