I have been left astounded by Paul's work with us. He has not only delivered creative work far surpassing anything we could have ever dreamt of, he has also taken the time to coach us on what effective advertising means in today's World. Always patient, always insightful, always creative. My only regret is that all I cannot offer praise of Paul in the same eloquent way as he has crafted our material. I first worked with Paul in '96 when he was Creative Director at M&C Saatchi and I was a writer. I then worked with him when I was Creative Director at Naked and he was a writer. As both a Creative Director and a writer he is hugely passionate, talented and an inspiration to be around. He's also a really bloody nice bloke. Matt Follows, Creative Director.
Not only can Paul do the corporate giants, he can translate his vision into the luxury and art worlds. Worlds which don't necessarily have to shout to be heard; worlds where confidence is more often conveyed through saying little with consummate style. He is undoubtedly a master of thoughts and words and not just that, he is wonderful to work with.
Paul's ability to grasp the essence of the communication that the client wants to convey to its target audience is beyond compare! To this end he transforms himself to become part of the client! His willingness to iterate (not that often) till perfection is extraordinary!
Paul worked for us about 18 months ago on a creative project we were doing for a major US multi-national drinks business. Not only was his work original and imaginative , but he was always on hand to listen constructivley to changes and respond accordingly. He's happy to work across a variety of customer channels and can craft ideas with precision and style. He always delivers and he never let us down. He's also a thoroghly nice bloke.
For an industry that prides itself on big ideas, advertising has surprisingly few genuinely big thinkers. Paul is one of the few. From Playstation to Nike and British Airways to NatWest bank, Paul's knack for writing memorable advertising has helped these and many other brands find a place not just in the heads but also in the hearts of the great British public. He's also a top bloke. Malcolm PoyntonChief Creative OfficerSapientNitro, Europe.
I have worked with Paul Hodgkinson on several occasions. Paul is an exceptionally talented copywriter who has an innate understanding of the art of selling. His work speaks for itself, but in addition to this, I found him an extremely easy person to work with who was not only very creative and articulate, but also listened carefully to the brief and delivered his ideas on time. Paul not only came up with a name for my company, but also had some really constructive advice regarding branding and marketing.
Paul and I have worked together many times over the years in his capacity as a copywriter. My role has been to bring his ideas to life through audio post-production. I have always found Paul an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only has he provided me with some wonderful scripts to work on, but he is concise in what he wants to achieve and effective in developing an idea in a session in order to achieve the best possible end result. Through the numerous and various projects he has been involved in, Paul offers a depth and breath of experience that can only be a huge benefit to many clients. I have no hesitation in offering the highest possible recommendation to any prospective client.
