About Paul Bartlett Paintings
Paul Bartlett RBSA, Senior RBA, has been providing fine art tuition to students throughout the local area for well over 20 years, and in recent years has progressed to more of his classes being based at his own independent centres.
As artist / tutor / facilitator / group leader, he runs day and evening classes for adults, which are designed to suit all levels of experience. His spacious and well lit drawing and painting venues are fully equipped with studio easels, drawing boards etc, and his printmaking venue has specialist presses for a full range of printing processes. He is a friendly, polite, experienced, fully qualified fine artist allowing students to enjoy learning, as well as meeting up as a group.
He delivers top quality art classes, including life drawing, portraits, still-life, watercolour, acrylics, coloured pencil, pastel painting, printmaking etc. Optionally offered as structured courses and/or individual guidance to "do your own thing", they are just right for leisure and/or to supplement qualification based courses elsewhere.
Paul Bartlett is an elected Full Member of professional organisations including the Royal Society of British Artists, and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
He is qualified to MA Degree level in fine art drawing and painting (Royal Academy Schools, London), and has a Postgraduate Certificate for Art History, plus a teaching qualification for Adult and Further Education. Exhibition venues have included the RA Summer Exhibition, National Portrait Gallery, and Victoria and Albert Museum (the 1979 'Garden Exhibition'. ) He is included in numerous books, and is winner of many prestigious prizes including overall First Prize in the 2004 'Not the Turner Prize', which was set up to be on a par with 'The Turner Prize' but specifically to recognise achievements in figurative drawing and painting.
