Established in 2005, Pantastic has many years of experience in the teaching of steel pans, and running a performing band called "Pandemonium" which entertained various clients throughout the local area. They have all been through University and have jobs. Panache adult band performed for professional engagements. The company has now moved to Trewidland in Cornwall.
The learning of Steel Pans enables the individual to have fun in a group situation whilst learning a new skill which can improve long term memory.
Nicola Fairey has a BEd Hons degree and started her career in Junior teaching. In her second year she became the school music co-ordinator and organised the whole school shows. It was her idea to start a Steel Band at the school and it is from her experiences with this Steel Band that she has decided to set up her own band.
"Pandemonium" performed at a variety of events from Weddings to Birthday parties and charity events in and around the local area. They recorded three cd’s. Panache have now taken over this role.
Pantastic provided lessons for both adults and children who learned within a band which is great fun and provides quick results within just one lesson. Music is arranged in 4 part harmony and sometimes 6 which means the sound created is amazing in such a short space of time.
Now moved to Cornwall only adult groups will be available.
Pantastic is managed by Nicola Fairey who has run the company successfully since 2005, first in Surrey and now Cornwall.
"Pandemonium" has recorded their three cd's which are all available to buy. The first is called Pure Pan, the second is Pan Ultimate Pan and the last album is Resonance and contains the following tracks: Hotel California, Set Fire to the Rain, Take Five, This Love, The Theme from the film Madagascar, Jungle Rhythm and Moon Dance.

I have (and still am! ) enjoying playing the pans with Nicky after several years. She is very patient and lessons are a lot of fun. I enjoy the variety of pieces learnt, performing at various events and have made new friends. Thank you. My 2 older children also learn and thoroughly enjoy the lessons and my 4 year old would love to learn in the future, when she's a little taller!

Learning pans with 'Pantastic' has given this 68 year old the opportunity to discover new strengths and an ability to play music previously thought to be beyond my reach. I have gained in confidence, while having fun and meeting new people, due to patient and skilled teaching.

Nicky manages to combine fun and learning in a very relaxed way. She clearly cares and understands all the individual members of her groups. My daughter has been involved for about 8 years and I am certain it has improved her memory skills. Highly recommended.
