Outdoor Owls provide outstanding early years education outdoors in Surrey and South West London. With the early years being one of the most important in life. Outdoor Owls forest nursery schools and holiday camps are not just about getting school ready but getting ready for life: developing resilience, empathy, creativity and independence.

Why outdoors?

During the early years a child absorbs learning mainly via bodily movements. So there is no better place to learn than outside where they can be active and engaged.

Children are also very receptive to learning via play, talk and sensory experiences at this stage too. Being in nature and woodland provides plenty of natural elements, textures, feels and smells, using sticks and muddy puddles to make learning fun through exciting and challenging 'wild' play.

The outdoors is also a highly liberating space, with endless potential for creativity to flow. In nature’s playground, it feels like an adventure every day filled with exploration, joy and excitement.

We are on a mission to rethink the early years to not just get children ready for school but for life! Whilst creating Owlstanding childhood memories on the way!
