I was originally told by the Windscreen Company my insurer recommended that I needed a new windscreen as the chip I had could not be repaired. I almost agreed to go ahead with a replacement when I noticed Optic Kleer stationed in my local Tesco Car Park. I went over to ask the operator's opinion of the damage on my screen. Not only did say he could fix the damage, he said that it would be absolutely no hassle for me as he would deal with everything and bill my Insurer directly with a guaranteed no affect to my No Claims. It did not cost me a penny and whats's more the repair John Speare did was absolutely fantastic! You couldn't even see where the damage was! I couldn't recommend John and Optic Kleer more highly and will look out for them in future.
I had a chip repair in my windscreen which I was told by the insurance company's windscreen company wasn't repairable and I would need it replaced. I told them not to replace it as I wanted to get a second opinion as it didn't seem that bad. I found Optic-Kleer's website on Google and put an enquiry in. I was contacted by a local operator within a few hours who arranged to come to my home the next morning. Next day he arrived bang on time and after checking my windscreen told me it was repairable and to leave it with him for approximately 25 minutes. When he was finished he asked me to check the repair to make sure I was happy with it before I signed his paperwork, I couldn't find it! Really really impressed with the service and it didn't cost me anything as it was covered by my insurance company. Would definitely recommend these guys if you want a chip repair on your windscreen.
