Onshore Partners is a specialist UK payroll and finance practice, and the trading name of Bolton Whitby Limited, registered in England and Wales. We focus on employers based outside the UK who need to pay staff here, together with contractors, landlords and company directors who want their tax handled properly. Everything we do comes with clear, published pricing and a real, named contact, so you are never left guessing at the cost or speaking to a faceless call centre.

A large part of our work is running UK payroll for overseas employers. When a company abroad takes on someone in the UK but has no office or subsidiary here, HMRC uses a direct payment scheme, known as DPNI or NI only, to collect the income tax and National Insurance. We set up the correct scheme, submit Real Time Information to HMRC on each payday, and manage employer National Insurance and workplace pensions. This lets an overseas business employ people in the UK without incorporating a subsidiary or paying the higher cost of an Employer of Record.

Alongside payroll, we prepare and file Self Assessment tax returns for contractors, agency and umbrella workers, CIS subcontractors, landlords and company directors. We work with clients remotely across the United Kingdom and reply within one business day.
