Olly's House Of Jazz

Olly and the band played for us at our wedding - we hired the full 6 piece band. They played fantastically and brought an incredible energy to the evening. It was exactly what we wanted, and many of the guests commented on how great they were! Olly was a pleasure to deal with, and organising the evening was very easy. We're very grateful, and hopefully will have an excuse for them to play for us again in the future!

As an event production company we often work with Olly and the band and they have never failed to give us and our clients a fantastic performance, whatever the occasion. Olly and the full band played at our wedding at Goodwood House on 19th February 2011. They were truly outstanding and produced three totally different sets. They played popular numbers for the wedding service itself (chosen by us), then jazz before the meal while guests mingled and then the full boogie band played for the dancing after the meal. The band fitted in perfectly and Olly himself is an absolute gentleman (and outstanding keyboard player and singer). There were a lot of comments made by our guests about the quality of the music/band. We have four children all with 21sts ahead of them and will have no hesitation in hiring Olly and his band again. In summary the JazzSoulBoogie band are outstanding musicians who will take any wedding or party into a different league.

Thanks so much to Olly and the whole band for putting on a brilliant night. So many great comments during the night and after about who the band were and how did we find them. Something for everyone, young and old, and a perfect bit of early on moonlighting by Olly singing away on the piano in the background to start it all off. If you are thinking of having a party and want live music, this is a fantastic option.

The Jazz Soul Boogie Band played for our wedding on the 9th October 2010 and we would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody else for the following reasons. The quality & range of music they played was exceptional (we had the 5 piece band option). We wanted music that was truly cross generational, and that was exactly what we got. Everybody loved the music whether they were 5, 35 or 85 yrs old. Olly personally delivered an exceptionally attentive level of service, often, but discretely enquiring whether our needs were being met - which as a Bride is what you want. It gives you the freedom to just get on with enjoying one of the most memorable days of your life, knowing that everything is in trustworthy hands. The band were excellent! We had 150 guests for a combined 18th, 21st and 50th party and all ages were up having a great boogie! They are excellent musicians, full of fun and very professional. I had lots of very good feedback from our guests who though they were great! I look forward to our next big bash when I will have them along again.

The band were excellent and I would recommend them. Our wedding would not have been so wonderful without their input for the evening.

As a professional classical violinist it was important to me and my musician friends that the music was just right for my 40th birthday party. Olly and his band came highly recommended through a singer friend of mine and so I booked them. Now, as someone who works for other people’s weddings in a string quartet I know that normally people just ring up and book the quartet no questions asked. But if they ask if I know of a band for the evening, it’s usually a minefield. Everyone has a different idea of the sound they want and I could put people in touch with 10 different good bands and they would reject them all. But, the funny thing is, Olly and his band seem to cross all barriers – my classical music pals were just as ease with the sound as the more regular dance set. So, if you want my advice do the following: Book Olly and his band and worry about something else (like the vicar, or the flowers, or your mother-in-law).

Utterly, utterly brilliant - Olly and the band are awesome - I can't recommend them highly enough! They made our wedding night the most fantastic evening we've ever had, thanks to their incredible energy, enthusiasm and professionalism. All the guests commented on how talented and versatile the band were. Now we're just looking for an excuse to have another party and book them again.

The Jazz Soul Boogie Band performed as a jazz duo at my wedding in August 2010. They were absolutely fabulous and all of our guests commented on how good they were. Prior to the event the customer service was excellent - Olly was incredibly friendly and gave us lots of information about the band's repertoire and what they could play on the day which helped us to compile a play list. They were also very open to playing songs that we suggested that weren't in their repertoire. Our reception was held during the day on a river boat in Oxford and Olly and his colleague did their utmost to fit in with our arrangements and fit themselves into a rather small performance space! They were incredibly helpful, friendly and professional throughout the day and, most importantly, brilliant musicians! I would highly recommend the band to anyone looking for live music for any kind of event. I would definitely hire them again - just need to think of another event! Olly Westwood and his AMAZING Jazz Soul Boogie Band performed at our wedding in May 2008 and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Coming from a Musical Theatre background having the right music of the highest standard was tantamount to setting the right atmosphere at our wedding reception especially since many of the guests were themselves fomr a music and theatrical background. From the onset Olly was truley brilliant. He listened to every one of my visions for the dream reception; he took in to account my ecclectic tastes in music and even took the time to learn a special piece of music to perform with me as a special gift to my new husband. Olly and his Jazz Soul Boogie bank had absolutely every one up on that dance floor! I don't think I have ever witnessed my father dance before and quite frankly I don't think he ever sat down that night! Friends and family are still talking about our wedding 2 years later and they all say the same thing - THE MUSIC WAS BRILLIANT!

We hired Jazz soul boogie band for our wedding and they were totally AWSOME! Everyone loved them, they played so many funky songs for all generations. Almost every single letter we got about the wedding commented on how great they were. I can not recommend them highly enough. They made our wedding!

I hired this band for my wedding reception. They were amazing and created an excellent atmosphere. They also got people of all ages up dancing. I have had so many good comments from guests about the music. The band went above and beyond by playing two sets back to back. This was due to being delayed by something that was totally out of their control. I thought this was the sign of a really professional band who care about the experience of their clients. The band were professional from the start, but also very friendly and flexible.
