Okami Martial Arts

Okami Martial Arts is a great dojo with a lot of philosophy and culture background, a great Sensei who support children to develop confidence, inner strength, believe, motivation, focus and self love. My 5 years old daughter after joining the karate classes, in 6 months time is more independent and secure for herself. I strongly recommend to give a try, it will change your and yours child lifestyle.

My 10 year old son joined Okami warriors in November 2020. He always had a lack of confidence and used to get anxious regularly. Since joining the Okami family he has been warmly welcomed since day one. He has progressed so much so that he is now very confident and outgoing and very keen to gain his next belts. We cannot thank Sensei Osman and his team enough! Would highly recommend.

Okami Martial Arts has been nothing but amazing to our 4 year old with behaviour problems. Since joining in September 2020 we've seen great changes, better focus, listening to instructions, more discipline. The staff is 5 ? And Sensei Oz is always there to support and amazing with the children, wish we would have joined a long time ago;).

Lily is enjoying the challenge coming up from dragons to warriors. Shy at first, but her confidence builds week by week and reflects in her approach to other things she undertakes at home and at school. To any parent I whole heartedly recommend this route to build many positive skills to assist your children in their lives ahead of them.

My daughter attended this club for approximately 9 years, both as a student and as a swat team member (a junior helper/mentor). We were happy with the quality of teaching, but as often happens we (the parents) did not always agree with decisions made about the club’s development. This did not stop my daughter enjoying her lessons. Karate is about more than fighting. Respect, honour, compassion, courage and dedication are very important. These qualities are often discussed. Unfortunately none of these was shown when the owner asked my daughter to leave. After attending the club on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday when the owner could have spoken to us face to face we received an email on the Tuesday to say she was banned as we (the adults) had not agreed with everything the club was doing. Interestingly this single action of banning a long term student by email over the parents’ thoughts showed my 13 year old daughter more about bullying, courage and honour than all the lessons she had attended. My son has attended Oz’s classes for 9/10months now and has come on leaps and bounds with his confidence! He loves coming and I would happily travel to wherever a class was held! Excellent teacher!

Oz and his team are great at making learning fun while working towards a good standard and want to see all kids progress.

I can not begin to thank Sensai Oz for his amazing and unbelievable commitment for the way he trains, teaches and understands children. This man never ceases to amaze me! I have known Oz for 10+ years, and seeing his work and his ability to teach children and gain their utmost respect is nothing but short of amazing. My Son is taught by him and initially he did not want to go to "Karate", but after 2 lessons he did not want to stop, and now nearly a year later, he can't get enough of it, and is dedicated to train and impress his Sensai (as well as his Dad). I can not thank Sensai Oz enough for the way he teaches the art, the discipline and delivering into an entertaining and educational package to the children. If you have any doubt in going or joining this club, don't! Just do it and take advantage of the free trial lessons and you won't regret it!

Both my 10 year old boy and 8 year old girl attend Sensei Oz's classes. Oz is great with the kids but also able to teach them respect at the same time. My son is quite shy and it's certainly bringing my son's confidence out. Thoroughly recommend.

Oz and his team are amazing with our little on. They take the time to help him understand what he is learning, as well as how to do it. We've seen his self confidence blossom in these classes and would recommend that anybody try them.

I can't speak highly enough of Sensei Oz and Becks and the effort they put into Okami. The classes are educational and great fun and there's always a really warm and friendly atmosphere.

My son who is purple belt now has always really enjoyed his Karate classes with Oz. He goes to two classes a week, the discipline is great and makes for an excellent learning environment. Keep up the good work.

I have known of Shihan Oz since training in Japan with grandmaster Yamaguchi back in the early 1980s, his quality of Karate knowledge and teaching is world class! This school is a rare school of high standard and quality in holistic delivery of Goju karate and many other types of martial arts cross training leading to excellent tuition for Adults, teens, children and seldom seen by high level quality karate teacher private tuition Where the participant gains incredible face to face coaching with tailored eye for detail on what is required for accelerated advancement, I fully endorse and respect this school. My son attends classes with this company at his school and absolutely loves them. He has learned so much and looks forward to every class. I have watched the teacher in both classes and at gradings and he is amazing with the kids, they think he is great and he has a fantastic rapport with them. I have watched him build the confidence of one of my son's friends and he has been amazing. I would recommend these classes in schools and the regular sessions and thank the staff for the hard work they have put in with my son.

My son (conor) started training at Okami when he was 5yrs old very shy at that stage, it took him a few weeks to even join in but u could see he wanted to get involved and he eventually did. After he progressed from little dragons into the family class himself and Oz decided it would be good for me also. Conor progressed to his black belt at the age of 13, he is now 18 and due to his karate which unfortunately he doesn't do any more but it had a massive influence on his confidence in but school work and rugby which he has continues to play. I have stayed in at Okami. I have always been reasonable fit but karate gives me that extra fitness and flexabitiy for a not so young lad! What it does show is that u can start and continue karate at any age, thanks for all you help Oz.

My daughter attends okami martial arts (karate). She loves it and has come along way, shes a orange belt and gets a lot of confidence and good self esteem to. She's seven years old and loves the class and team. The trainer oz is really great friendly and hard working so is the team everyone is really friendly and easy to approach. I highly recommend this class my daughter goes twice a week really enjoyable.

Okami Martial Arts is something special. Oz and Becs work tirelessly with each individual to introduce, teach and transform them into a strong, confident and disciplined individual via Karate. I have two very different children. One loves this place for its hard work and discipline; the other has never before settled in any club and class. Week sby week she has been able to see what behaviours are expected and has been rewarded accordingly when things are right. Myself and my daughter both do karate, we really enjoy the classes and our confidence has grown. I also do the kick boxing fusion classes they are very good and I have noticed a difference, everyone is very friendly and helpful to each other. It is a excellent way to keep fit and a fun way to exercise. I highly recommend every tries and give it ago and see for yourselves.

Great club and great sensei, great coaching to all ages! My son is 5 and loves the sessions. Sensei Oz has a great teaching style that brings out the best in all ages and abilities, bur most of all the kids always leave smiling! So much fun and worthwhile! Confidence and life skills learnt!

My son has been going karate for only two months and wow, what a differnce. His confidence has grown and is doing things I never thought I would see him do. As much as its my son who takes the steps, sensi oz and his co workers have a massive part to play, very kind and helpful people. There has been so many changes in john, he is consatrating more in school, his attitude is more about considering others and a big change is he is starting to stand up for his rights.
