At NPD Light Haulage, we aim to provide a professional and efficient haulage service utilising the latest technology. We will work hard to ensure a seamless integration within our customers’ supply chains and aim to provide a cost-effective service. Our convenient location which is situated less than a mile from junction 34 of the M1 enables us to respond rapidly to our customers’ urgent collections and deliveries. We have a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years’ experience and a long-standing customer base. Sheffield based NPD Light Haulage has now further strengthened its operational compliance to a FORS Silver standard, on demonstrating their commitment to improving their overall fleet safety and environmental impact and efficiency.

With this recent achievement, NPD Light Haulage has become one of only 50 general hauliers in the UK to gain Silver accreditation.
NPD Light Haulage has held a FORS Bronze accreditation since 2017 and last year decided to work towards FORS Silver accreditation.

To achieve FORS Silver, operators must commit to monitoring levels of fuel, safety and fines and charges, ensure their entire fleet is fitted with additional vehicle safety equipment and implement an approved, progressive driver training programme that focuses on the safety of vulnerable road users. All our vehicles are fitted with beacons and strobe lights, relevant signage, additional blind spot minimisation mirrors, front and rear facing cameras, white noise reversing alarms and fall protection. All of our drivers and office staff have completed the Vulnerable Road User Training module and the Van Smart course, which we found informative and a very worthwhile experience. Safety of our employee’s other road users is of primary importance to us as an organisation.

WHAT GIVES US THE EDGE.

· We run flatbed vehicles with a 5-metre bed to suit just about any load.

· We carry loads of up to 1250kg and up to 6 metres in length.

· We are FORS Silver trained and accredited (006420) allowing access to any construction site in the UK. We are also a member of the Road Haulage Association.

· All our vehicles are equipped with beacons, strobes and chevrons to allow deliveries to highways/motorways and Crossrail sites.

· All our team wear full PPE (hi-vis, safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses etc. ) Our fully-uniformed drivers are highly proficient, professional and courteous at all times.

· Our vehicles carry certification and our drivers carry photographic I. D. At all times.

· All NPD Light Haulage vehicles are updated every 3 years and are rigorously maintained and extremely well presented.

· Risk assessments and method statements are undertaken to ensure safety and best practice.

· An electronic proof of delivery is sent directly to our customers including images, for total piece of mind.
