NP Construction and Landscaping

We choose Neal to build our extension over other builders for a few key reasons, he was extremely professional from our initial meeting, gave us points to consider and set out a very clear and competitive quote for us to review. As this was our first extension we naturally had lots of questions -he always made time to answer them swiftly and leave us feeling reassured. The work began on time and he set out what we could expect to be completed every few weeks so we could track progress and also make decisions in time without slowing things up. The build throw up challenges and we had to get additional planning permission due to a change in size and shape after finding pipes/drainage - Neal was clear in communicating the impact as his team had to down tools until planning was re-approved, but upon approval he was back to continue. Each week there was an invoice and any additional work we had requested was clearly set out so we could see where we had deviated from the original quote. We and our surrounding neighbours didn’t have any issues with Neal or the team throughput the build and we have shared his details numerous times as people saw the build progress and they were equally impressed. I would recommend Neal to carry out any form of building work and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Neal recently took down an outhouse from the back of our house, he was always punctual and friendly. The work was of a high standard and good value for money. Will definitely use him again for future work. Highly recommended.

Neal and his team removed a chimney breast and fitted a supporting bracket in our loft. Due to some inaccuracies with the drawings provided by a structural engineer, the job turned out to be more complicated than initially anticipated. Neal dealt with this issue extremely well. He kept us informed at every stage and offered useful advice and generally did all he could to ensure that the job was done right. We're very happy with the work and would recommend NP Construction.

We employed NP construction to build a raft foundation and two storey extension. What set NP construction apart from other quotes was the detailed quote that showed the job had been planned and considered in great detail. The work was completed to a High standard and when there were queries these were discussed and solutions found. Neal really seemed to care about the quality and finish of the build. We use many tradesmen ( some we will not use again) NP construction Is definitely on the use again list.

NP Construction built a rear extension(kitchen diner) including full electrics and plumbing, knocked through to existing build, landscaped garden, laid patio. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship throughout the project. All work was done to a high standard. The questions and small issues that come up during any build were discussed honestly and explained very effectively. Before the build NP Construction were very helpful in advising on design, building regs, planning etc… and considered what was in my best interests. Everyone we dealt with was reliable, polite and a skilled tradesman. I have already recommended them to friends and family and would continue to do so.

I would recommend this builder unequivically. All construction areas were kept clean and tidy at all times. Commenced job and turned up each day, on time until work was completed.

Neal replaced our kitchen roof, fitted and remodelled a new kitchen, fitted an understairs loo etc to name just a few jobs. He was very helpful and patient during the planning stage, he was very involved and proactive coming to see us numerous times to help us work through any queries. He wasn't the cheapest company but he certainly provided the most reassuring and comprehensive quote. During the build he kept us well informed and managed all the tradesmens for us. He is very polite and helpful and kept the place as clean as possible. We're very pleased with the result and we will definately call on him and his team for future work. Neal and his team have transformed our kitchen, by removing a wall between it and the room next to it. The ceiling was replaced, with tunnels up to the skylights that we had had installed, and he laid a new floor. The lighting was also replaced with spotlights and panel lights, and additional plug points installed. Walls and ceiling were plastered and decorated to a high standard. Having never had building work done before, we had not realized quite how much work was involved in our project, but Neal patiently explained what was needed and why. He was always keen to ensure that we were happy with the work he was doing, and he took time to listen to any of our queries and explain fully what was happening. He constantly checked on the work, and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone arrived on time and tidied up at the end of each day. We also really liked all the various people he employed. We feel very reassured that we now know a builder who we can call on to do any further work we may need done in the future.Moreexpand_more

Neal is a competent builder who knows his business and is willing and capable of dealing with problems in old buildings. He dug out the rear floor of a large room, carefully protecting the irreplaceable skirting, and organised the laying of a replacement concrete floor with proper insulation, damp proofing etc. All done within a few days and to a high standard. See photo for the almost finshed job. Highly recommnended.

Removal of garage and construction of small extension. Demolished chimney breast and reconfigured bathroom. Other ancilliary work. All work carried out to a very good standard and within budget.

We employed NP Construction to clear previous substandard single storey rooms and erect two two storey extensions at our house in Chepstow. Neal is a hands on builder fully involved in the project, keeping us informed at all times, discussing new technology and the inevitable problems that are generated during building work and seeing things to conclusion on budget. I have experienced Neal's work in the past and would again recommend him to others.

Neal and Ryan fitted some skylights for me and did a great job. As they were not a standard size, they were excellent at doing some research to find a suitable product. I was also impressed as they consulted a structural engineer to check their procedure for fitting them across one of the room beams. I was so pleased with the work that I asked them to fit a new bathroom as well as refurbish another property in need of updating. On both of these projects, they again did a great job. I will definitely use them again and I have no hesitation in recommending them - in fact, I have already done this.

NP built us a 2-story extension involving a sophisticated design. They completed the work to an excellent standard, on budget and in very good time. At every stage Neal and Ryan kept us informed and were always ready to discuss options. The lads were polite, tidy and friendly. It's never easy having builders in for several weeks, but these lads made it bearable. Next spring they'll be doing more work for us. Kitchen and dining room knocked through, with new kitchen fitted and new boiler installed. Outside house was rendered with new gutters, fascias and soffits. Neil and Ryan were very approachable and helpful and were able to provide us with a breakdown of the costs. Their work is of a high standard and they certainly work hard, even working bank holiday Mondays and Saturdays. The fact they are always busy tells you all you need to know. I'd certainly recommend them, and already have done and they'll be my first port of call when I need any work doing.

I had NP Construction round to fix the render and window cills on the front of my property which were badly in need of repair. They were very professional from start to finish and always consulted me on the work they were undertaking. I had tenants in the property at the time who were not caused any disturbance by the works. The work was of high quality and has withstood the test of time. The workmanship and service provided offered great value for money. I would recommend their building services to anyone and if I ever need work done again I would not hesitate to call them.

The work done by NP construction was excellent. Neal and his team were a friendly and welcome presence in the house and were very tidy after each day of working. They were flexible, good at problem solving and listened to ideas we put forwards. The work we had done was the taking down of internal walls and the alteration of external walls as well as a few other smaller jobs.

Awkward job to knock down old rubble front garden wall and rebuild it to take new coping stones - all either side of a weding and in the winter. Fantastic service, neat, tidy and spotless for the bride to leave the house on her wedding day, then the job completed after the celebrations, despite the weather. Nothing was too much trouble and very careful approach to get what has turned out to be an often admired wall - one neighbour agrees its the best wall on our 'Edwardian' street and puts the other houses to shame. We are very happy they agreed to build the wall we wanted to fit in with the character of the house and didn't try and suggest an easier option. We will be very happy to use them in future.
